Building Blocks of Chance
Compromise and Forgiveness,
are the building blocks of Chance.
Chance for Romance.
Chance to Dance.
Chance to shout out, jump,
and Prance.
Why don't we go there?
Why are we so scared.
It's not like the cops are staging a raid.
Most likely,
we are still afraid.
What can be the harm,
In taking an extended arm.
Is it the past that makes us recoil,
Afraid to turn the heat up,
to a boil.
How else can we cook it well,
If back there we choose to dwell?
What can get us over this hump?
Get attached to the right air pump.
Don't you ever want to bump?
Whether on the dance floor or not,
Using your mind,
you can show what you got.
