Bubble Burst

A thoughtlet rises from the deep, Tiny companions coalesce as they sleep Swirl up a storm ever expanding as they surge. At surface emerge and with the ether they merge, Lost forever as the bubble-wrap when burst. From the deep to collective banality accursed. ~06 Jun 2016~ Best of 6 - Poerty Contest sponsored by Nette Onclaud Visual #1 and Visual #3

You did very well, Karam, combining the two visuals together; quite creative, too. You would have placed high with this entry, but I think not writing it in free verse as stipulated in the rules will work against you. ~ Regards // paul

Thank you for appreciating , Paul. Didn't make it in the contest. I thought rhyme was optional in free verse with no rhythm. Anyway, I had the pleasure of writing it and having an "Aha" moment. ~karam~

I hope I got the reference correct, but if this is about the bubble-wrap you get when you order packages and etc., then this poem is genius! I don't know why, but it's such a therapeutic feeling to pop those little bubbles...maybe it reminds me of my youth somehow. Anyway, great poem and good luck! Also, thank you for your comment on my old poem, "The Streets of Chaos," I've only just returned to PoetrySoup recently, so seeing your comment was a pleasant surprise!

You got it absolutely right, Marilyn! It is so much fun in bursting a bubble wrap, but once it's done the plastic is discarded. Ideas in the beginning are like the air enclosed in bubbles. Once released they become anonymous as they mingle with the surrounding. Thank you for commenting and liking my poem, Marilyn. ~karam~
