Broken Pieces

When first he saw her he was taken by her beauty, but she was sadly broken like a lovely flower vase whose pieces were shattered and scattered on the ground. For she had been so carelessly mishandled, dropped and left behind to go to waste. For just a fleeting moment, he watched her from afar. But then, with deep compassion, he approached the lovely vase, and one by one, he gathered up the pieces. And then with steady hands, just like a skillful surgeon, he gently put the pieces back in place. Then suddenly her hidden inner beauty slowly started coming back to life. And when the final piece was put in place, the tender heart of the lovely flower vase began again to gently beat with love. August 17, 2021

Beautiful! What a wonderful concept - brokenness is not outside of repair. The damage can be repaired if one has the patience and time. Love it!

So glad about the ending of this poem not all broken vases are handled with your care and love. The beginning of this poem made me think of a Greek song I know which ended sadly, it says that once a vase is broken or cracked it can be stuck together again, but only is used as a decoration in a corner of a room which no one notices any more. Therefore i enjoyed your love story far more! hugs and blessings, Jennifer

A beautiful poem. How fortunate that the vase was able to have such loving care bestowed on it. Such a compassionate write. How lovely to be put together with such determination and resolve. Heart to Heart feelings...

In the hands of the right person, each piece will fall perfectly into place. This is tender and emotional, all at the same time, yet beautiful in so many amazing ways. Your thoughts touch my heart so deeply. My best to you, my sweet friend. Hugs, Brandy

A bit of super glue works wonders John, years ago I smashed an ornamental plate ( I wasn't in Greece lol) and with great care glued it back, all you could see was a couple of faint lines, my wife never noticed and I said nothing lol.. Hope you're well. Tom
