'borrowed Jar'

She walked around thinking all she would ever be was someone's yesterday She couldn't understand why that wasn't enough So she walked around thinking she was too much In stead of good enough She tried to dim her light She tried to tone down on her personality Only to end up in a dark space Wondering where her life was heading She didn't get it; that all her smiles Were bottled up in someone else's jar Until one day; the dark space became so tight She couldn't pretend to be happy anymore She needed to get her happiness back It was not meant to be kept in a jar She had to free herself from Her prison of thoughts She needed to get out She ultimately put herself in that space And only she could shake that feelings off On that day she took back her life When she finally smiled it was from her heart

I never ever thought that taking back one's life would come at such an apathetical & steep price, Wilma. Nobody wants to suffocate in someone else's stinking jar, do you believe this so? Best wishes, kind thoughts to you! Mikki

Mikki, I sometimes look at people who lose themselves in the relationships they are in. I don't believe we are suppose to change so dramatically just be with someone.. just my mind working overtime I guess lol So great to hear from you. Have a great day and week ahead ;)

Very well written and such a fantastic theme, though sad throughout, the ending produced not only a smile for her, but for me as well.
