Betrayed By Love's Lie

"Betrayed by Love's Lie" in quiet solitude reflection stirs as soiled thoughts invade inner core of mind a gentle heart, swallowed in grave, inters beyond the golden twilight, peace to find. promises vowed sway broken at dark seams betrayed by lovely lies spoken sincere a trusting naive soul lost lovers' dreams extinguished passion flaunting hurtful leer. tears tumbled as deceitful romance lied swore to emotion's eyes were free to wed a dagger thrust impaled life as flame died spoiling sweet taste of destroyed marriage bed. bitter essence lingers to haunt, to pry, a callous charmer who betrayed with lie. *Sonnet from P.S. Forms of Poetry. *For Craig's Beautiful Lies Contest. *Dec. 8, 2012.

Hey Sweetheart!! It has been a long time! I see that your words still penetrate and most certainly capture the viewer. You haven't missed a beat, I can dig it. Hit me up there is a lot we need to catch up on! For instance, how are you Ron nowadays?Asavvy1

This is excellent, Linda Marie. Those curves in life can be so devastating... you've taking me down memory lane but it's just fleeting now. My best wishes for the contest. Hope you all are well, and holding up under the dark clouds that hangs above us now. There're no words to comfort the families but we offer prayers for them; that their pain will be bearable. Take care my friend... Love, Annalise

A true reflection of words from a broken and deceived heart. You have created powerful lines in this beautiful Sonnet, concluding it with words which would continue to pierce deep in the mind and heart of its reader. Great write my friend. My good wishes for your contest entry. I have posted a Poem based on a story from Bible and would be thankful if you can leave your comments on it as it is based on a Story from Holy Bible. Love and best wishes always...Ravindra K....SH LMB

btw, do you have the same NJ address that you had over a year ago? let me know soon if it is different and give me your new address if you would like a card from me. I am sending cards to Soupers who have given me their addresses through the past few years. I spent NINE hours on my Xmas packaging and cards yesterday. Good grief! will be going to the PO tomorrow.

LInda, I want to do mine kind of on the same topic, of a charming cheater. You sure have come far here at Soup. I remember when I first met you and how much you hated sonnets. and now here you are just turning them out left and right!! Good job.
