Berries In West Gippsland Scrub

When fishing is slow, there is time to think, or I go for a walk, kneel down for a drink, take note of the trees, the vines or a shrub, exhibiting berries in - West Gippsland scrub. Some of these berries I read I can eat. The author’s description is juicy and sweet, and quite edible if shove turns to push, the berries I find in - West Gippsland bush. There are plenty of words describing a taste; why many a berry could go to waste. Insipid, sour, bitter or mild, aromatic, astringent, tart or reviled. There’s red currant bush, yellow elderberry, translucent green or a blue appleberry, ripe kangaroo apple, black and raspberry, purple flax lily and pallid pink cherry. So West Gippsland scrub grows one tasty treat! When you’re looking for berries that you can eat, but if I were you as you search and comb … make sure you don’t leave, your lunch at home.

If you leave your lunch at home, your sweet tooth could result in a very funny tummy later that night or the next day. The area however sounds awesome - a bush of berries, oh so sweet, such a treat! Thanks Lindsay for an awesome poem as always. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer

Hello Jennifer ... there is only about six wild berries in scrub in our area that I completely trust so to avoid the funny tummy I do plenty of research before tackling something new. Thanks once more Jennifer for your support - Lindsay

The wife loved picking berries in the wilderness where bears are natural. Aloha! Rico

Hello Rico ... actually a US berry, the blueberry is really popular here and so is cranberry, but I'm not sure if cranberry is grown in a commercial capacity here. Thankfully there are no bears here to compete against - Lindsay

Hello Tom ... don't blame you at all. Unless you know and study the flora you could yourself with severe stomach pain. Better being safe than sorry - thanks again Tom - Lindsay
