Beneath the Pendulum

swaying beneath the pendulum of your absence, i feel the gravity of who you think you are- emotional turmoil when fear cripples in plenty, under the crepuscular ebony moonlight above a soul cannot laugh without wanting to love, a heart shan’t welcome without needing to be held- with every dripping tear drop i linger in remorse, trying to keep the lullaby of your secret kept i use not what i know to be demeaning, seek not what is sought through eyes of haste- i am dreaming of being redeeming, for just a taste of what life may be one day and within each splitting memory your mind dwells, may the light be a beacon for a hope too strong, so that nights of relief are more than immense… swaying beneath the pendulum of your absence ***** 2.23.20

Laura, I love this poem. I am finding myself "swaying beneath the pendulum of your absence". I hope you are able to check in now and then. You are one of those rare "i am dreaming of being redeeming" people. I hope you had a great birthday, (in spite of social distancing) and that your business is going really well. Drop me a Soupmail if you are ever in need of a chat with a friend. Hugs ~ John
