Before the Last Petal Falls

You have heard of Beauty and the Beast, Or some form of it, at least. But what if the roles were reversed? What if I, the girl, was the worst? When I look in the mirror I see anger's face, But just a glance at him shows only grace. His flawless heart and perfect smile, Makes me hope he’ll stay awhile. Everything I touch withers and dies; Even as my heart in desperation cries. I am torn and covered in scars, Yet I’m praying he won’t stay afar. Could he possible see beyond my flaws? Will he love me past the pain I cause? Time is slipping through my fingers, Yet the hope of his love lingers.
