Before The Day Turned Into Night
Sponsored by: Charles Messina

Before the day turned into night,
a scarlet sun inked clouds of white.
And tinted the sky with red light;
a cotton candy pink delight.
Before the birds lose light to fly,
a murmuration fills the sky.
Mesmerized, I let out a sigh,
applauding as they shapeshift by.
Before the shadows merge, as one,
twilight drinks the last of the sun.
And though dusk has barely begun,
a rising moon won't be outdone.
Before night's dark curtain descends,
silhouettes form as daylight ends.
