Beads of Hope

figmental escapes lifting through the fog of clouded mind my eyes closed momentarily see you in the shadows hands reaching out towards me I linger in the breaking dawn of brighter days to escape the fury of the storm bearing down around us temporary shelter comes in your arms allowing me to sigh a breath of fresh air my fears fall in the shadows against walls then build as sweat beads on worried brows while my fingers stumble across beads of this rosary with lips pressed against the cross as i whisper prayers for one and all in hopes my voice is heard and this fog lifts with this storm

A heavily atmospheric piece, that sees hope on the horizon despite all the gloom that surrounds us. May your faith in God guide you through these uncertain times.

Good morning my friend. This is one of your best. I love your word play and the metaphor of faith. So many wonderful lines expressing the totality of each of us. I especially love your expression of hope in the third stanza. Thank you for sharing this poem with all of us. Congratulations on your win! Blessings.

It is a very anxious brilliant poem that you penned my dear friend - we are being tested and with and by the grace of God, we will fight this evil snake, this thief that wanders unseen, we will fight the good fight with all of our might! Blessings and love dear Sandy - Jennifer.
