Barney and Bill walked up a hill With buckets they needed to fill The well had gone dry They thought they might die Until they discovered the still They both reach down and grabbed a jug Sat down on the ground on a rug Then returned to town And told what they’d found The people all gave them a hug The rug was really too furry The moonshine made their eyes blurry When you hide a still From Barney and Bill Take your time, don’t get in a hurry

Glad you liked it, I'm beginning to write more limerick to lighten the mood a little, I can get a little too serious for approaching 80. LOL Have a great week, Jan. Bill

Roughly about the adventure of me and my cousin. He lived in a town, pop 106, when we were late teens. He was always getting me into something I knew better than to be doing. Living in the country was different than living in the city. Thanks for the visits, my friend. Bill

I think they are my neighbors down here in the Ozarks. We have what is called the annual Boo and Brew on Halloween. My eyes have been blurry a few times for sure. Nice trio of limericks my friend.

Hello Bill, this made me smile and not because I have been drinking but the clever words in your limerick. My brother use to have a still. LOL - Daniel

LOL, it may seem like it, but I'm just trying to write more of these to get used to it. I can get in a rut pretty ease though, good observation, Lin. Have a nice day. Bill
