I loved that man with a hunger, the Forbidden fruit of my aged old youth, and Future grief. I was too green, yet laid like root My blind side none the wiser. I loved that man with a hunger, but God only knows, I've known raw pain The fall and rise of life again My blind side none the wiser. I loved that man with a hunger, but Good God Almighty made me see I strayed to snare of the enemy My blind side woke up much wiser. *
