My Muse is at last coming back, slowly. The stuff you'll see here for awhile is material from long, long ago; some of it High School, rewritten to make it more palatable.
Awakening
Bury the night in the brightening day,
Gather your thoughts as they spread with the light
Dreamshadows slipping away.
Awkward moments pass
As consciousness collects
Taking form in a soul of glass.
Reach up and cast about
Searching for the shuddering feel of the world,
Reach out and snuff the heart's soft doubt.
Brave the taste of another day's life
Cross the border into wakefulness
Cut the bonds of sleep with Reason's knife.
Venture forth to the land of the living
Join the mass that flows through the streets.
And judge it not, for it is past forgiving.
