Aspiration

With a gesture of hello I say goodbye, Like a thank you, I'm sorry. Yours, mine, ours, Our hearts' rhythms, Yours, mine, ours, In the fleeting colors, Like haze over the mountain peak, Slowly starting to fade away. When I wake in the morning, I remember, The smile, the voice, The figures of the ones we love. I peer into your eyes, Reflecting a vast, blue sea. What do you see Reflected in my eyes? In the gentle afternoon breeze, Softly whisper to me, The secret scenes In my eyes. With a gesture of hello, I embrace you, Saying goodbye, yet still, I hold you close, Like a thank you, with a shy smile, I'm sorry, then, until we meet again someday.
