Americans Vote
Americans Vote.
These folks that run for office,
They’re not like you and me.
They work real hard to show you how,
THEY, think that things should be.
Your people are your friends at work,
That guy that sells you nails.
The lady at that donut place
And the one that brings your mail.
The neighbor who’s just getting by,
And the teacher late at school.
The guy who brought you your new fridge,
And the one who fixed your pool.
So remember, folks in Washington
They work for us you know.
And your one vote can fire a joke,
And out the door they’ll go.
They work for us, we pay for them.
And soon enough they’ll see.
That we’re not as divided,
As they want us to be.
