Always the Bride's Maid
Always the bride’s maid but never the bride.
Cupids little helper, both coincide.
Always there for others in their time of need.
It's her duty she feels, and not just a deed.
She knows when ones sad and senses their pain,
walking with them through the heavy rain.
Yet she has her own secret that none she can tell
For she feels she needs to be strong and pretends that all is well.
Smiles through the pain, laughs through the tears.
Will never show she's hurt or full of fear.
She feels so alone despite been surrounded by many.
Her life is falling apart, but she tries to keep it steady.
Always been betrayed those she thought were friends
Ones’ who promise to stay, but walks away in the end.
She has herself to blame, she firmly believes.
As she gives too much of herself and becomes naive.
Her weakness is that she cares too much
As she’s the only one people can trust.
But in the end, all she gets is a knife pushed deep in her back
And by reality, in the face, she keeps getting smacked.
Always the bride’s maid but never the bride.
The tears she sheds, she will always hide.
Becoming cold and heartless seems to be the only way.
As life has a new disappointment for her each new day…
