You've captured what everyone has felt so powerfully and succinctly. Agreeing with Keith, the repitition drove the point home.

Roger, After 45 years of togetherness, this is and always has been my greatest dread. God Bless your future. D.

Beautiful poem of an author seeming to love solitude and in which ALONE live a world entire and actually need to give and offer tenderness. That kind of Francois Sagan-Bonjour Tristess. Congrat.

Good mind state exposition. Like driving in a nail with "Alone". Poetry is very valid as an outcry. The poet sees and reports while most of humanity suffers in silence under a crushing existence. But if you are to keep your voice, you must find rescue. The humor of irony gets me through the night.

Brilliant use of repetition, fast paced and rhythmic, the end lines had a great impact too.

The constant repetition is most effective, as are the short, clipped phrases. Loneliness can be a terrible burden. Well done Roger! Best wishes, Keith
