All of One Kind
If I made a wish or
If I wanted to pray
This is what I’d ask for.
This is what I’d say:
Give us the seasons
The flowers and trees and
A song to share.
May we find peace
And see what the other sees.
We are all of one kind.
I’ll walk in your shoes.
I’ll sing in your key.
Will you sing in mine and
Will you walk with me?
When we’re afraid
We stand on our own
But give me your arm
And we won’t stand alone
As we work together
I’ll try to trust you.
As we seek an answer
Can you trust me too?
Oceans and mountains,
Above us only sky.
The earth is where we live.
We must share it, you and I.
Give us the seasons
The flowers and trees and
A song to share.
May we find peace
And see what the other sees.
We are all of one kind.
