Advice
My life is in confusion
Because of ones like you
Who tried to do the best for me
But were doing the best for you.
I may not know everything
But I do know what I do
I’d rather make my own mistakes
Than have you help me to.
I know I need to be alone
And sort this whole thing through
To see if I can handle myself
Is what I want to do
So you can keep your free advice
Your gifts and wisecracks too
Because I’m going to make it work
I’m going to make it through
