Addiction

How much cigars has she consumed, Came the question, from behind the desk, Did you help her manage the task, Of quitting drugs that she long abused. No Doctor, tried everything in vain, Just like the old times, cigars all day, One, two, a dozen, in my words I won't lie. And talks not, whenever to her I try to explain, The dangers of addiction, and growth of her cancers. Doctor, let ease this pain in me, Let loose, this thought that before me My sister, only sister will die of cancer, And of my failure to help her quit the behaviour.
