Seconds lost on questioning,
why time's not left to chance?
Each moment is everlasting,
fate's no relentless circumstance.
We act as if time can be saved,
how pointless to believe.
Never has one debt been paid
from hours or days received.
A lifetime is a leaf of yesterday
with no relevance to tomorrow.
Reliving doubts will just betray
all claims once paid with sorrow.
There is no time for one to slay
with so many aspirations left in play.
