Greetings Susan, Another winner in so many ways. Your final line that (metaphorically) conveys anger as a dagger is truly inspired writing. Sincerest regards, Brian

Oh my dear friend, your subtle hint was definitely lost on me! Lol! I always did wonder though, why you worded your first phrase like that.. maybe that’s why this poem immediately came to mind when you suggested using the tristich form on my poem Rain. This light bulb moment was several years in the making hahaha! Thank you my dear friend for affirming the poetry form change and for your generous and genuine kindness. Warmest wishes and hugs.. ~Susan :)

Thank you, Tom for being the first to leave such a thoughtful comment, there’s a lot of truth there. Thank you for your kind sentiments, as well, things are getting back to normal. My family and myself were sick with the flu during the month of March and my 92 year old Dad was hospitalized for 3 weeks due to flu complications. He’s home now, back to his usual spunky self - thank God! I hope all is well with you, my friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
