A World Apart
Moon's sable gown of sequins sparks.
Cast aside, those shooting stars.
Slipped from night to light of day.
Soaked in sun, with him she bathes.
Spectral neath a pale blue sky.
Kissed by the sun she says good bye.
She longs to stay but must take flight,
as she shines best in dark of night.
His golden smile, turned upside down
for want to touch her sable gown.
Tho each yearns for the other's heart,
They're better off a world apart.
