A Word

A word is but a thought unveiled Be it written or spoken in tongue A word can hold emotion's key Be it whispered or softly sung A word can inspire, If bled from the heart Of sorrow's somber muse A word can disturb, when eyes reveal Malicious intent to abuse A word is lost, when intent is forgotten For a word is but letters connected If the fate of a word is to fall to no ear The world will be left unaffected
