A Thousand Lives
On the journey of a thousand lives
I died nine hundred and ninenty nine
I was saved once and only once
Slayed nine hundred and ninenty nine
Spilt the sweat off my crooked back
Arms tied down surrounded by weapons
Mark my forehead seal with protection
Foot nailed to your land of prey
Healed wounds bleeding day by day
Then you remember where you started
When the womb of a dead mother parted
The place her tears mixed into her blood
And fed you through her empty gut
Recall getting dragged and chained to life
jaws clenched to the field with no rice
Stars shatter with my every wish
Minutes to freedom break by tricks
Left alone one and only one sign
Others erased nine hundred and ninety nine
