A Surrealist Observation
YOU
Are the wild fire,
The candy in a kiss
Open windows of eyes
Devouring the blue liquid skies
Heart in rhythm with eternity
And every breath like cool smoke
In a dark morning
Translucent as a ghost,
Remembering delicious yesterdays.
&
I'm
Questioning if that angel in my life
Is just as ferociously brilliant
As those who never wake to something less
Than deep peace, velvet surrounding
Their lingering embrace of god
- Or if -
The fuzzy truth
Just blinds me in my joy.
