A Summer Predawn Morn
Soon rainbow-colored balloons will decorate the air.
An incredible sight lies ahead on this predawn morn.
I sit with my friends, all giddy with delight, as we stare.
Enormous balloons are filled; gas, nylon and heat, oh my!
Fiery furnaces burst out breaking the silence of predawn.
There's nothing quite like it, forty of them ascent into the sky.
Miss Daisy, Sugar Bear and "Ella-phant" rise from the ground.
All kinds of shapes and colors lift roughly at the same time.
People gather clicking their cameras, we are all spellbound.
Ah, the glow of oversized candles floating higher, heavenward.
I breathe in just watching theses balloons catch wind and rise.
Nothing short of amazing to have seen this spectacular award.
