Written for the Dialect Contest. I realize it's not what was expected but how could I pass on the opportunity to tell of such an amazing life changing device. If you are a stutter such as myself I urge you to check out www.speecheasy.com or www.janusdevelopment.com it has most certainly changed my life in a big way!

Interesting slant on the topic--but then you always come up with a creative view. Good luck in the contest. No need to apologize here at The Soup. We are family here and all have had our struggles. Hi Michael. I certainly never realized from your poetry that you were a stutterer but I am glad you found a help for it. I am sure you are a great conversationlist and we would never notice the speech impediment as you call it. Thak you for your lovely easy flowing compliments on my posting. Love, Joyce

i don't know treatments normally take time. being a people reader means you can read yourself. and belief is a powerful thing. ie. a child who stutters believes they stutters. they tell them it's a problem. and instead of giving them a rock or marble to hold on to. to redirected the unsettled nerves. they send them to classes to learn how to talk. witch deepens there belief they have a problem. so they never grow out of it. you have a strong will. you just need to believe in it. to strong.

What a sweetie art thou! My significant other stuttered as a child therapy worked for him and singing was part of the therapy! Mike check out diamante form..what its supposed to do is have the beginning and the end give 2 very different feeling and get from one to the other sort of by free associating...try some I think the form would work well for you. Light & Love
