A Peaceful Silence
A peaceful silence, content her sleep
Her promise to love me she surely did keep.
I wonder back often to the day that we met
Our paths and our future so young we set.
Here we are later, never apart,
Except for that once, I tortured her heart.
Temptation came calling a couple of times,
But my heart gladly for her it still chimes.
She is my lover, my woman, my friend
With her, I will be till The very END.
No other woman could challenge her place,
She is classy and brainy, a woman with heart
Pitted with others you can tell her apart.
I wake up each morning for 31 years
With a hot cup of tea and kiss on my lips
What more would I ask for?
What more could I want?
Well perhaps to be a little less blunt, haha
Keep on dreaming is all you can do
My woman, she knows me and loves me
just as I am.
