A Parent's Jam

Written by Gail DeBole in the 1970s (Pre-parent status) I'd like to have more patience. I really think I can. I tell myself most readily While looking for the jam. The jam was in the kitchen, A few scant seconds ago. I take a step to the sink, Squishing jam between my toes. I'd like to have more patience. I really think I can. I'll be in a better mood When I can buy more jam.
