A Fairy Tale For Children

A FAIRY TALE FOR CHILDREN Once upon a time, long, long ago In the land where your Dad once lived There came a woman of great beauty She was wandering along the roadside Your Dad was watching from the shadows She didn't know there was anyone around He watched her closely as she stopped She picked a handful of flowers She continued to walk down the road As your Dad watched her he had an idea Why don't I introduce myself to her? He quietly walked through the woods When he reached the spot he had chosen He stepped out onto the road The lady was startled at his appearance But she didn't seem at all frightened Your Dad introduced himself to her He invited her to come to church She accepted his invitation Do you know who that lady was? Yes, Tommy, it was none other than your Mom Now, she and your Dad have all of you children And you all live happily in the little town And life is wonderful! 1 February 2019 For the contest sponsored by Eve Roper

I enjoyed reading this very much. You 'did good', and then some. Most children are enthralled by Mom and Dad stories. Good luck in the contest and all else. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Thank you, Sandra! As a man with 9 grandchildren, I find it easy to gather them around and tell them stories, real or imagined, and watch the looks on their faces throughout. I always end my stories on a happy note and see smiles or laughter at the ending.
