A Dog's Revenge

A DOG'S REVENGE It's raining must we go for a walk We can sit by the fire, you can talk Dogs look at me through windows of glass Asking me why I walk in wet grass The one holding the leash has umbrella and boots Is that fair? I have only a coat of wet hair After our tour of wet city park We head for home before it's too dark I'm left in hall before treats arrive I get none because I'm outside The mud brought in wasn't me I wear no boots so how can it be? The marks from the mud are plain as their face Boot marks are very hard to erase Dogs get blamed for all under the sun Except for today when the sun there is none Dogs are quite clever some would agree So I left a message that all would see Putting me on newspapers I can't read What I have done is on them I've peed ELIZABETH SMITH

Oh that was a naughty dog, I guess that the dog did not get any treats. Enjoyed the poem.
