A Day To Remember

She's the anchor that secures a ship in a storm. She's a ray of light shining through a black cloud. She's the calm in the midst of a hurricane. She's a constant in the cycle of change. She's the reality between the fantasy. She's my friend, my lover and on this day she became my wife. I wrote this for my wife at our table the night before we were married about twenty-six years ago. I never put it up here before because I actually did not know a copy of this piece even still existed until my wife pulled it out of a drawer and said do you remember this poem. This was written just for her and no one other than us has ever seen it until now.
