A Celestial Dance of Love

The moments of the eventide are tender as the weary Sun kisses the horizon good night. With dusk fading to a cobalt blue, the passion of the Moon arises tempting the Fairest Maiden of the Night to join him in a celestial dance of love. With stars twinkling like diamonds in her hair, and a golden glow reflecting off her breasts demurely in his light, the Fairest Maiden of the Night surrenders to the passions of the Moon. Beneath the blanket of darkness the Moon and Fairest Maiden of the Night come together dancing a minuet of love throughout the night to rhythmic melodies of the crickets’ summer song. As the night grows long and the darkness starts to wane, the Fairest Maiden of the Night, inseminated with the Moon’s celestial seed, gives birth to a new dawn, and the cycle of life begins anew.
August 6, 2020 These thoughts were composed the other night as I watched the full moon dance slowly across the sky.

I wonder: When you saw the moon 'dance across the sky,' was it doing the 'moonwalk?!' ... Your beautiful poem brings to mind classical ballroom waltzes in 19th century Europe capitals --- sweeping and graceful. (At least they appear so in movies!). Thanks, Gershon

Thanks, Gershon, I’m glad you saw it as sweeping and graceful, that is the feel I wanted. That’s why I chose the minuet as their dance. Cheers, John

There is something magical about the moon and its light. The way it cascades upon the earth, even along the skin. You have created a beautiful scene here with your words. This is tender, romantic and passionate, with just the right amount of sensuality. Simply breathtaking my dear friend. :) Hugs, Brandy

John, I'm enamoured. Extremely romantic, yes. Depiction of a well covered relationship with our orbiting companions is written anew. This came from both pure meditation and skill in projection. Thank Heaven we are witness to your craft. You wrapped the synergy and mystery into an enticing scene.
