5 Am
5 am found you with her,
Midnights flew by in a blur.
Now mornings start to feel too cold
And heavier with words untold.
5 am was a bright flame
With sparks spelling out her name.
Now midnights flow by all to slow.
Her name’s a ghost from long ago.
5 am was an open door
That was leading straight to her.
Now all that’s left’s a broken lock
And buried keys in your chest stuck.
5 am was made for two,
Infinity began with me and you.
Now I stumble, halfway there,
I’m still going, but I don’t know where.
Now midnight found me once again,
Minutes still fly, but in vain.
I feel the cold deep in my bones
And 5 am finds me alone.
