Lost My Song

When in this life I felt down
You were the one that was around

Maybe it was the way you held my hand
I knew in my heart you would understand

I miss the way we used to sit and talk
The times we didn't look at the clock

The way you walked in those tight jeans
Made me want to pull my skin and scream

I remember trembling at your touch
I love and loved you so very much

I am lost inside now you're gone
Baby you are still my life's song

When I look to the night sky, I tear
I miss you and wish you were here

Depression

Fighting Depression
We’ll defeat this enemy
We’ll soar like eagles

Within Reach

Heat of the day sun and fun Swimming and diving Signs read do not swim or dive Young and immortal Swimming until exhaustion Time for one more dive A graceful dive, but too deep Trying to surface Forces are pulling downward Trying to surface Grabbed this hand just within reach Safe at water’s edge Exhausted and still vomiting, I witness no one to thank. I Wish Upon a Star

I wish upon a star tonight to be where you are.
When you passed from this life you left a scar.

I remember kneeling by your bed each night as you slept.
You were sleeping like an angel but did not wake so I wept.

I would love to be where you are even if it would be for just a while.
There is an ache in my heart to see your blue eyes with your smile.

My love and devotion to you have always been forever strong.
I am still here stuck in this life, but I hope it will not be long.

I love you with all my heart and you were my life’s song.
I have missed you so much baby since you have been gone.

I look up to the sky tonight knowing you are far.
I am singing you an old love song with your guitar.

There are tears in my voice crackling as I sing your song.
I love you more, and I hope it's not going to be too long.

Behind That Smile

Those beautiful smiles
Sometimes have cried the most tears
Charitable hearts

Agony

I lie awake thinking of the agony.
Life has pierced through my heart.
The pain of loss what could have been.
How can there be life without life.
I fear not the thought of death.
You see, with death there is peace.
So what is this death with pain.

Maybe the Last Letter

This may be the last letter I write to you; I am so very tired inside, exhausted...as I lay in bed I’m pondering things. When you feel like you're at death’s door, it’s not the things you've done well that matter, it’s the mistakes in life you ponder. To be honest though, if there was only one thing I did right, it was the day I met you. When love finds you, you want to keep it close forever and ever and ever and never let it go. I’m afraid to go to sleep because of the uncertainty of tomorrow, but I need to set my fears aside…so I am writing. I should not be afraid because you are already there, where ever there is, but I do remember trembling at your touch and the sound of your voice; I'm still in love with you and I miss you so very much. My prayer is before I close my eyes that I did not forget something—I know that is silly. I did make the house payment, the dishes are washed, the laundry is done, and yes I took out the trash. I let the girls out to go potty and made sure they will be taken care of if I don't wake up. They're sleeping on the floor by my side, they have been staying close to me tonight. So I guess I’ll put down my pen and take my chance at sleep, but if I could have just one wish, I wish I could see your face once again with those beautiful deep blue eyes I used to get lost in. Goodnight my love, maybe we can meet somewhere tonight, I love you.

Two Lovers

Eyes like a clear lake,
reflections of a dreamland,
skylights for two hearts.
Walking amidst the cloud tops,
the light brightens up their day.

Do You Remember

A blue Sunday sky
Fluffy white clouds start to build
They grow and they grow

The clouds are crowding
Some thunder and lightning
Maybe some light rain

When morning rises
The sky and heavens are fresh
It is a new day

Do you remember
We once filled the noon day sky
Do you remember

Winters End

It gives life a time to reflect on an unclothed transparency seer.

Winter is the time to tame life with little heat and almost no light.
This is nature’s pause as the curtain of life begins to close tight.

Winter's loneliness allows for the gathering to touch a friendly scattering.
It’s winters quietness that allows unmuffled sounds to carry chattering.

Nature’s artist only has a palette of color of just a few,
Paints a painting of faith and hope of something new.

While nature, dreams the dreams of winter’s rest,
Morning yawns, the land wakes from nature’s chest.

The sun is warm, but the chill in the air still has dominance.
Yet the innocence of a few daffodils shows their prominence.

So many colors for the eye to see, look the grass it's fresh and green.
Birds sing as they fly tree to tree as we watch this enlightening scene.

Oh, you can see it in the palette and hear it in the air…Spring is here!
