Love is never optional...

~

Twinning body mind and soul
Vulnerability taking its toll
Fasioned of love
A gift from above
Imprisoned with no escape

I hear morning birds
Calculating the unheard
A glance of the eyes
Insecure and tongue tighted
A foundation of dreams unfurls

Beautiful Twin

so amazing twin
what about the twinning trees!?
not only twin trees
yet, eight hundreds years old age
they are in South Korea

Shiver Shake Not : Song

pretty or slippery are not my names
no time for docile dolly games
peaceful presence my authenticity aims
ascension not something timidly tame

Chorus : shiver shake not, I have nothing to hide
flowing with life’s lovely tide

if you cannot bear scars and shadows
go elsewhere to see what flavour marrows
sure I hold open portal doors
when lightning strikes you can endure

Chorus : shiver shake not, I have nothing to hide
flowing with life’s lovely tide

radiate stories of sorrow and glory
twinning beneath Sun’s shimmering corey
hearty love tender truth upward spiral
mystical might muse antiviral

Chorus : shiver shake not, I have nothing to hide
flowing with life’s lovely tide

walk promised path alongside mine
consciously curious from divine timelines
earth wind fire water akasha guide
shiver shake not, I have nothing to hide

Chorus : shiver shake not, I have nothing to hide
flowing with life’s lovely tide

Is it not simple
These words I portray
Leaving one in thought
To pass the day away

I watch the raging river
Sunlight glisten
Upon the leaves
Reminiscing
A day so long ago
Of a child young
And free

Of all the stones gathered
Piled high to conceive
A fortress of golden light
To Fulfill a yearning need

Of lemon yellow blossoms
Lavender frills
And a beautiful
Song
The lofty hills consider
Twinning the orange lit dawn

I watch the season change
Reminiscing all I've seen
And sketch a book of promise
For others to find their dreams

I'll take you to the place I go
Upon the wind so free
And lie with you
Tell the end of time
In starlit majesty

Premium Member Fire and Ice Twins

A poet asked a question, nicely,
better to die in fire - or in icely?
But what about the sun or moonly?
What if they should die too soonly?
The sun and moon, up there spinning,
engaged, they are, celestial twinning,
their sizes in the sky, the saming,
ice and fire twins, freezing, flaming.

alternative to the supposed cookie cutter lifestyle off the grid away from the masses a peaceful life insue
of wandering fields and daisy plaid
twinning soul in pursuit
to conquere a dream set forth by God to live in spiritual truth
Rising lifting we edify where strife has been removed
we live as one beneath the sun grateful of love imbued

Premium Member A Pondering Poet

A pondering poet
A dreamer at ease
Looking through facets of life
Searching each inkling

Wandering on

Sketching and painting
A doorway beyond
A loving innuendo
Twinning
A simple song

I walk the road of antiquities
Looking back and looking on
Roaming the streets of possibilities
To twine a simple song

A pondering poet
A dreamer at ease
Looking through facet of life
Searching each inkling

Wandering on

Divine
Majestic
Refined
And
Simplistic

Pictures of babies and license plates,
are you asking a criminal to find you?
The internet is NOT benevolent.
It’s phony as hell, you better believe it;
Keep your life out of reach and private.
A cheer or criticism, neither are needed;

Less is so much more decent,
let’s practice social media modesty;

With each detail you make public
you put your life at unimaginable risk;
People will follow you stalking your life,
until they scrape enough to create a copy;
Is it you? Is it not? It doesn’t really matter.
Identity theft only needs your numbers;
Suddenly there are two of you twinning,
but one is just a parasite you’re feeding;

Less is so much more decent,
let’s practice social media modesty;

Mind your manners remain chaste,
some things really should stay closed;
Stop flaunting what matters so carelessly!
Better think twice or become a victim ;
Sudden chill down your spine in real life,
That irreparable damage was preventable;

Less is so much more decent,
let’s practice social media modesty.

No Words Rhyme with Orange

No words completely rhyme with orange:
no orange fringe, no orange hinge,
no lozenge, no syringe, no twinge, no whinge – no nothing!
No words completely rhyme with orange.

Porridge isn’t orange; but, there is an Orange Province.
An orange stoppage - should be red!
Incorrigible orange!
The rhymes I’ve tried are negligible, barely sensible.
Horrid orange!

Purple is no better.
There are purple turtles, slurping, burping,
and purple pebbles, purple burbles:
all sorts of purply, chirpy, twerpy sounds,
but, no words rhyme with purple.

Silver is another colour which hasn’t got a twinning brother.
There are silver rivers, silver shivers, silver slivers, silver sisters;
but, there are no silver dilver milver pilvers,
and if there were, they’d smell like fish.

I actually prefer the almost-chimes of assonance,
the vowels that that twine with consonants,
without the over-confidence of lar-dee-dar-dee rhymes.

Everlasting Soul's Devotion

You breathe for me in times of
agony and hellacious
fears—mergence of our twinning
souls ignite this world.

Premium Member Necessity

the air of our quiet breathing
the bower bounce on which to live
outlasting all the blooms and bells of time
sweet to inhale in fresh woods and on sunflower hills

in an ever-changing dance
come ruins of unseasonable change
from bending heat
from lightning strikes
to flame the forests
particle showers like white fire singed
twinning thin air with a polluted cling
overhanging smoke
for cities in a gray-grind swim

just an environmental blip say some
not the change that threatens human kind
this smoke field as vast as all the world's disorder
what's salvageable?
a will to cherish crystal air that skims our wings
                                           like a New Year's revel

soulful comfort
were we wiser once?
before fire choked the passing clouds
before the cauldron bubbled

the air
atmospheric anchor
vessel of our calling
imperiled necessity
once floating idealism
the changing sails of what we own

Premium Member The Pulling Apart of America

Opinionated people with possibly distorted truths
The loudest ones thinking they are winning
Many others consulting psychics and say-sooths,
My sis and I agree on one thing, we are twinning.

The loudest ones thinking they are winning
The din in the horizon is formulating an angry mob
My sis and I agree on one thing, we are twinning
Pulling apart America USA should not be our job

The din in the horizon is formulating an angry mob
Insurrection is not important says the non-thinking party
Pulling apart America USA should not be our job
With lack of integrity, how do we remain hale and hearty?

Insurrection is not important says the non-thinking party
Where does honesty, decency, and respect enter in?
With lack of integrity, how do we remain hale and hearty?
The masses are in turmoil, and our togetherness is thin.

Where does honesty, decency, and respect enter in?
Many others consulting psychics and say-sooths,
The masses are in turmoil, and our togetherness is thin.

Folding Socks

The preacher expounded on 2 Timothy 4:18
"The LORD will protect you from all evil"
As I sat on my couch contemplating clean socks
I recalled how I'd seen mothers fold laundry. Calmly;
O how calmly did they work at this simplest of chores
And I began to imitate some of their work and serenity
As I straightened each sock, then laid the companion over
Flat against the other member. Folding from bottom -
Thrice, my choice, then the elastic top secured the pair!
To avoid matrimonial metaphors, I did something odd:
Having folded a pair, I then tucked in another set
Twinning my folding exercise with socks, maybe creativity?
And a calm outbreath of satisfaction: mess gone, new poem!

Premium Member The Colors of My Garden

                        each morning I visit my garden
            and I am stunned at the kaleidoscope colors
I hurry to see what new bloom will greet me
and I am always delighted with my beautifully hued flowers

                         oh, the many shades of purples
the fuchsia, and coral, and white scattered here and there
and the giant geraniums dripping red and some delicate pink

the sweet yellow on a vine and orange dotted about
            vines feathery and twinning, tangled, clinging with love
                         lovely textured leaves in green shades

flowers creep, tumble in hanging baskets and painted boxes divine
with stain-glass colored butterflies and tiny humming birds
      pretty wildflowers and fragile herbs mingle,
                        and in this serene porch garden ... I meditate

Third Place

Premium Member Configured Triad

A bud cradled within two tiny leaves
A dulcet design of tantalizing trinity
The proud plant tenderly conceives.

A flower blooming between two tinged leaves
A pristine picture of fervent fulfillment
The passionate plant arduously achieves.

A bridge binding two banks on land lonely
A suturing structure of crafted closeness
In the rhapsodic river euphoria flows freely.

A dormant desire twinning two hearts innately
A child creates the link in paired possession
The triad configures the epitome of life completely.
