Must summer leave so soon, I bemoan.
So briefly she seemed to last this year.
Golden days gone, merely moments flown.
With no warning, Autumn nudges near.
Yes, I'll miss her bountiful blossoms
perfume pretending as balmy breeze.
Baby blue skies, sunsets' fevered flames,
gentle whispers among dappled leaves.
I know Autumn has her own blessings:
leaves of amber, gold, and ruby red.
