Gymnastics

Gymnastics and poetry are holding hands, they're falling head over heels in love.

Swinging with dozens of antics...

As gymnastics makes the body grow increasingly strong

So love for others helps a man discern right from wrong

Gymnastics State Meet
Before I compete at State Meet,
When I'm swinging on the bar,
While I'm sprinting toward the vault,
I imaging myself wearing gold.

Even though I'm nervous,
Even if I'm scared,
Since I've worked so hard,
I long not to just imagine, but to achieve....

Words
I
Words may be left
Untouched
Undeployed
Unemployed
Unused
Under utilised
In hands, mouths,
Dictionaries
Power pregnant but
Potential

II
Words with heart
Grow wings
Kinetic Energy
Kinesthetics, gymnastics,
Comic relief
Healing and Belief

III
Have you used
Neglected or Abused
Pregnant and potential
Words Today?...

Gymnastics
Goliath intention
Glitters within reach on
Grecian hallowed ground; the
Girl forged by sweat and chalk
Greets the beam with pristine
Gainer flip, ready to
Grace the world with her feat.

I Love You For Being You
Ideas conveyed in trails of semantics
Or moving over horse and bars in gymnastics
Tumbling, rolling, scribbling phonetics
Reeling, shrilling, scorching like ballistics

Quibbling over ideas and reams of whims
Rattling odd stories of soul's whines and trims
Yours is the power over lines and grims
Absolution or redemption atop one's dreamed
  old gym hymns...

Maia 9
Maia turns nine today
Apple of my eye
I've said a thousand times
And at 2:30 I'll pick you up from school
Then take you to your gymnastics class
And then home where a surprise party awaits you.
Oh, how I'd like to see your face surprised!

How time flies
And I hope in the years I have left
Your Lolo will enjoy being with you
Laughing, surprising, playing,
Biking, eating and just having fun....

Friday in France
How lucky we are the Olympics
Will be starting, this Friday, in France!
After all this political trauma,
We can wake from this terrible trance.

We can focus on swimming and tennis,
Gymnastics and polo and track.
Cheer for volleyball, diving and cricket
And not listen to pols talking smack.

There’ll be fencing and judo and hockey
And sailing and golf and lacrosse.
Once the athletes march in, all that fanfare
Will remind us there’s life after loss.
...

Extra-Curricular
Tae Kwon Do, gymnastics,
Swimming, piano and ballet,
Music, baseball, fencing,
An activity a day.

Such a far cry from my youth -
If mem'ry is my guide,
When school was done, we had a snack
And met our friends outside.

On skates or bikes we got around;
With jump ropes, balls or chalk,
We entertained ourselves with no one
Watching like a hawk.

That freedom now does not exist
In suburbs or the city
And looking back, I have to say
It really is a pity....

From faith to dust
hello and welcome to gymnastics doctor.com. i'm larry nassar and this is part of my sports medicine tender teaching moments and today we are going to discuss

the arch of the back, the tuck of the chin, the leap and spin and balance in air

He was the Olympic doctor. he said he was doing a medical treatment. And we trusted him.

The feet on the beam and the hands that repeat. The pattern of beauty and motion so rare, that heartbeats become rhythm and breath becomes prayer...

I listened as you spoke
Gums flapping in the breeze
Words slipping off the tongue
Expressed with so much ease

Your verbal gymnastics
Deserve a perfect ten
I ask you one question
You repeat it all again

Your words enchant me
I listen while you sell
Some kind of hypnosis
I respond to your spell

I bow to your persuasion
Your rythm my blues
I want what you're selling
This thing I won't use

As I open my checkbook
The spell starts to break
My brain starts working
When my hand starts to shake...
