George Washington Carver's statue turned red
So embarrassed, Old George wished he were dead

Premium Member George Washington wouldn't lie, would he
We were staying at a Boston inn in 1773,
just good ol’ George Washington and me.
And he said, "I'm not telling you to lie,
but ~ if Martha comes by ~
tell her you have no idea where I could be."

No Excuse
George Washington said," It
is better to offer no excuse
than a bad one."
What excuse?
I don't have an excuse.
If I did, it wouldn't
sound good.
It's better to say nothing.
But that's not an excuse.
My excuse is......

George Washington
George Washington was the first President that we had.
When we see his picture on the one dollar bill, it makes us glad.
He refused to be a king and he was our President twice.
He was one of our best Presidents and that was pretty nice....

Premium Member President Washington's Choppers
'Tis well-documented that George Washington had issues with his choppers.

'Tis also well-known that he was not prone to fabricating whoppers.

So it comes as no surprise and can be truly said of our first President,

That truer words were never spoken thru falser teeth by this honorable gent!...

De Vose Dilemma
George Washington could not tell a lie
"Honest Abe" was too honest to die
Donald Trump ad-libs
Incredible fibs
Leaving schoolchildren to wonder why

Our POTUS is really a jerk
His tweets are a childish smug smirk
To Trump's lasting shame
His management's lame
Its teamwork that makes the team work!...

George Washington
Not Alexander, not Caesar, not Napoleon
None of the warring butchers
Can measure up to him
Who could have been but didn't want to be a king
Who didn't allow himself to be a god
Who running far ahead of all humankind
Grabbed the future
And brought it back
Like an ordinary apple
To put on the table of a new nation...

Premium Member Sage Advice From George Washington
"Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your reputation!"

This sage advice was offered by George Washington, the father of our nation!

'Tis but one of many wise adages to us he did bequeath.

Can be said that truer words were never spoken through falser teeth!

Forgotten Elementary Times
There are many things I will miss
All about elementary time
One of them is my mom's kiss
But I've had quite a fun time

We have had lots to learn
Some about George Washington
And we even had a pet fern
But don't forget the multiplication

Kids have had class together
Never once the class split
We might not be together forever
But now we'll be quite a hit

Washington
Out of all of the presidents, George Washington was one of the best.
When he became president, the USA was truly blessed.
They offered to make him king but he rejected it.
Then they offered to make him president and he accepted it.
Washington was a great leader who filled people's hearts with jubilation.
I wish I could travel to the past to see his inaugurations....

Henry Washington
Black loyalist
One time slave of George Washington
Fighting with the British against rotten Yankees
3000 blacks went with us and came with us

In the States now
Black folks but seeming there now just left to rot
But cherished now our black loyalists in England
Part of us

Last night I dreamt a dreary dream
Beyond the clashing rocks
I saw a dead man win a fight
And I think that man was I...

Weird Happenings
To the director of research
Operation search I think seen her in church
It's God's way
To show men the way
God said its not right for man to be alone
So God sent a Spirit of sleep over Adam
And Adam fell into a deep sleep
God took his rib out
God took his lonliness and rip it out
They say the fruit of knowledge was an apple
Now this is a coincidence
George Washington cut down the same tree
I think every Son of God should cut down one...

Premium Member George Washington Frog
Powdered wig was musty
Curls petrified and crusty
Mothballs smell much better
Especially in August weather.

George put it on his head anyway
Not wanting to disappoint his mother today
Rode on the float and waved to the crowd
Showing out with a hoppy dance, proudly and loud

That’s George Washington! His parents yelled.
Knowing full well that he always excelled.
Helicopter Mom and Motorcycle dad.
Still they raised a truly wonderful lad....

Premium Member George Washington Duck
George Washington Duck got his name from his patriotic mother.
She dressed him in red, white, and blue, just like his brother.
He was given a cherry tree and a hatchet when he turned ten.
“Look at me Mama!” He yelled with a happy grin.

Chopping down a cherry tree is more work than he thought.
Because this was a young healthy sapling, not a bit of rot.
His mama gave him a chain saw, and he was in his glory.
Of course, it completely changed the age-old story....

Premium Member A Question For the Us Mint
A little question for the U.S. Mint, how do you decide which President to print?
Which Presidential portrait fits best on the money?
Why did you put President Jackson's face on the $20?
If Abraham Lincoln was our best President, why is
he only on the $5's that we've spent?
It's well known that George Washington slept everywhere,
so perhaps a lower denomination was morally fair.
A chance for a little historical reflection, please explain
this currency connection?...
