Guns
Guns speak the universal language of love
With no cloak and dagger residue left behind
But with bullets fired for better accuracy
Results usually have bad consequences
As if that mattered
Triggers are engaged to end life tragically
Drawn to their own conclusion
In grave compassion to the tomb
That aftermath presumed to be perfection
If only guns could think rationally
As one might assume...

Cutting Against Each Other
When people in positions of power cannot be trusted,
It tells the tale of a corporation in trouble,

Cloak and Dagger
Sadness has overcome me,
fear too.
For all that I know,
I can't tell you.
Secrets abound
and I'm underground.
Cloak and dagger,
faces and facades,
diamonds and pearls,
more than I wished for when I was a girl.
Freedom comes like a windy day
and I miss it when it blows away.
I snatch the light
as it passes by,
looking for happiness
in the gleam of an eye.

Diamond Dust, Devil
Fighting for survival far away from home
With my cloak and dagger where the devils roam
Lurking in the darkness that conceals the night
There belong the phantoms well beyond my sight.
All my strength is seeping, bleeding wound is sore
I won’t last much longer, I will hide no more.
Now the wind is howling; let it groan and blow
Lifeless, right beside me, lies my vanquished foe.
