My sister and I are taking turns circling things we want.
Every page has circles, stars, hearts, from our pens.
We are supposed to be getting fifty cents a week allowance.

We figure this up.
In a year we should have $26.00.
We begin planning how we will each spend $26.00
forgetting for a few hours that we have saved $1.25 total this year....

The stories he told were often racy,
but his life was taken by a one eyed dog.*

*A greyhound Bus with one headlight,

he died with his cane pole in his hand.

I already picked up sixty thousand pieces of catalog from the back bedroom
the puppy fought me for them the entire time
it was his mess

I look at the puppy
what to do?
what do you think?
He gave me an enormous yawn
