Premium Member Capt Smith's Immortal Words As The Titanic Sank Without A Trace

She was posh and built at enormous cost

Alas, She was fated to be star-crossed

      Plunged to Her eternal grave

Capt Smith gave a final wave

And shouted, "Cheer up folks! All hope is lost!"

VESSEL SANK

           Sea wasn't turbulent.
           Wonderful largest liner
            floated just safely.
             Luxurious cruise started.
             Tension-free vessel
              took affluent passengers
             in joyful voyage.
              Suddenly it was hit by
               a hidden ice berg.
               Rush of water flow flooded
               deck causing ship wreck.
               To accommodate each one,
                not enough life boats.
                Signal claiming help didn't work.
                Captain Smith only
prayed in vain till his last breathe.
               Titanic just sank .
Helpless souls in mass to face
                 tragic destined death.
                Ship Carpathia sent to
                rescue, reached too late.
              Weeping women and children.
              to be carried by
few life boats that still floating.
            Carpathia sighed.
             No trace of Titanic seen.

IHMO TITANIC SANK

             Titanic floated safe.
            Vessel luxurious
            Sudden strike it couldn’t escape.
Water flow flooded deck causing ship- wreck.
            Hit of iceberg: Most dangerous.
Few life- boats and no help.
           Ship sank! Appalling disastrous.

Premium Member Sad Sighs

over eighty but still smiley and spry
he met each new day with joy in his eyes

he loved to golf and he loved to bowl
both were his fun and fulfilling goals

one day playing golf with his skilled swing
he scored below par - his favorite thing
he rushed home - happy he had done so well
grabbed his wall phone - there were friends to tell

beginning to dial - he soon lost his smile
as feelings bombed - he just stood awhile
leaning on a wall - he thought of his friends ....
sadly - no one to call - every good life ends

phased and depressed that on that day
truth had hurt his old heart that way
he gasped sad sighs - sank into a chair
and prayed to turn numb then and there

Sank Aunt Aire

Friends said their marriage would not last
Now fifty-years have slowly passed
Hand-in-hand
Gland-in-gland
The two of them have had a blast!

Unsinkable

She grew resplendent on the docks,
Growing upwards from below,
A magnificent sight to behold,
A luxurious hotel to sail the sea,
Rich, famous and poor all looked on in awe,
"Unsinkable" they said,
But mistakes where made,
Hitting an iceberg below, she slowly sank,
Some saved but most died,
The fascination with the Titanic to be evermore,
Sitting on the bottom of the sea bed rusting away,
A monument for those that stayed on board.

Premium Member Cletus O'Toole's Navy Career Sank Sans a Trace

Cletus joined the Navy on a fool whim

And was told he needed to learn to swim

He was launched off the dock

And he sank like a rock

The Navy straightaway got rid of him

A Second Late

That grip I longed for
Decided in a second faster
Than my yearn
But was much slower to catch up
With another second
... I sank

You touched my soul
But it was too late
Now ripped from your world
To the world
That liquefy pains;
Those streams
That water your cheeks

We'll miss each other
But only you will notice
For in this state
No sadness nor happiness
Just eternal inexistence
Gawking at your emotions

If only you were on time
My heart would still be busy
With pressure, pleasure and pain
Soaked in red and with beats
Coming at intervals.

Was Saved Before I Sank

Was Saved Before I Sank

Someone said I am just an old crank,
When they made me walk the plank;
For God did care;
Caught in mid air,
And he had saved me before I sank.

His straw sank to the bottom

Hey babe you need a straw to stir your drinks
Beautiful pickup line hon, what do you thinks
I think your blue calm ocean
Needs some whirling motion
I see a whale curing your blues as it sinks

This Ship Has Sank

I have no pride
I guess it's better than suicide
You left me here to die
The ship has sank
Cause of some stupid lie

I'm always diving deep
I'ts Saturday night
Do you know where man could get some sleep
I'm a different rank
This ship has sank!
This ship has sank!

Some say it's stupid
Some say it's lame
Some say it's a bus
Some say it's a train
All I know is my love has stopped
At the sight of a teardrop

I'm always diving deep
It's Sunday night
I've started counting sheep
Your a different rank
This ship has sank!
This ship has sank!

I'm higher than a kite
Sitting under the turned off Hall light
I'm sadder than I've ever been
I'm grayer than a dying man's skin

I'm always diving deep
It's Monday night
The mountain is getting steep
She was a different rank
This ship has sank!
This ship has sank!

It sank near the river bank
Broken and mislead
Like a man on his dying bed
Our love has turned blood red
All the flowers are dead

I'm always diving deep
It's Tuesday night
My life has taken a huge leep
I'm a different rank
This ship has sank!
This ship has sank!

We Sank Into Rain

I felt among the tired stars
for you
among the frozen banks
of ice and blue
and soon
the rushing wind
came weeping
with weary tones
aching echoes of the world

I felt with burning hands
for you
in twilight mist of eucalyptus
churning clay in waves of red
with trembling fingers
nearly dead
frail in the face of the sun

I felt inside my twisting heart
for you
in brittle bone-shards shattered white
and reaching deep
I found your pulse
in ancient forests standing silver
in sprouting green and gasping sky
in ever-growing vines of life
I found you
with golden moonglow in your hair
and softly
we sank into rain

When the Ship Sank

(When the ship sank)

When the ship sank I was on deck, my flute
sang a holiday, my legs were trembling like a whale
Cabin sat on whiskers, spills swerved the seas.
Dennis was close hey hey, check the wind, check the wind
Cool like frigidity lady whupped the deck
Metals creaked all hell let loose hulls croaked
Like frump unattached to the muscle of hope.

When the ship sank I was on deck, my flute
sang a holiday, and after a year or so my ribs
found another deck chomped my sea animals
corralled by weeds blue, brown, pink and red
You may say its just a story, well said and sad.

Limerick : Once a lone Sailor who sank wih his ship

Once a lone Sailor who sank with his ship
Bargained with a Mermaid through her hare-lip
She would give him a lift
If he’d give her a gift
That’s how mermaids got to wear haïr-clip.

                            OR
That’s how mermaids got second hare-lip.

Sank Shoe Ary

SANK---SHOE----ARY

One evening I sank into sanctuary
I wasn't lonely although i was alone
I once visited a maudlin mortuary
and it made me wish i were nothing but bone

no flesh to sweat nor tears to shed
just my body in a coffin forged of brass
i'm not certain why I had a wish to be dead
perhaps I was tired of walking upon broken glass

in that mortuary all was quiet and still
no shouts from the masses religion quells
I was growing weary of always walking uphill
and wished to silence some old church bells

next to the mortuary stood a church with fools they be
in rapt attention the congregation listened as the pious priest spoke
while in the very last row of pews sat a silent me
it was my sole desire to separate myself from those kind of folk

i would not nor dare open a hymnal to sing
and to this day I remain ever contrary
i break commandments to which the foolish cling
so I raced back to the sanctity of that sanctuary
