Right Hand

Right Hand

Every quarter moon my
pale right hand splits in
two. Inside are
tap parts of
different small sizes who
whisper about
how wonderful it is
that my blood type is
Z.
Too they whisper about
many wicked things.

Premium Member both wanted to be the right hand man

girl Friday met marvelous right-hand-man
they fell in love and hatched an elope plan
both wanting to be the quintessential number one
neither acquiescing to the other, not a lot of fun.
they broke up, forever, Darcy Lynne and Dan.
Both wanting to be the right-hand man

Right Hand

I carry a machine gun draped over one shoulder, other hand shoved into my pocket
Nonchalant grim reaper with a list of names, fist balled up around bitter poetry, the names of future dead
Angel and devil each whisper into my ear, standing on their tallest tiptoes
They hide behind me when I kill, unwilling to see another soul removed from this barren earth
I don’t look my victims in the eyes as I end them because they don’t matter to me
I will not be charged with their murder because I am simply an extension of another: the commander of death calls me their Right Hand, but I do nothing but Wrong
I am tall because my boots stand upon corpses littered across the bloodied mud
I toss aside the list and fire at will because the commander does not care about specifics, just death
That is the point of a war, is it not? If you cause enough pain, you can force others to alleviate your own

Commander calls and I leave without a second thought

I am a shadow, the last thing you’ll ever see
Welcome to the end of the world, war three

God's Righteous Right Hand

(may be sung to the tune Chariots of Fire
from the movie of the same name)

Mankind is upheld by
God’s righteous right hand;
sweet peace Jesus promised
our rest He has planned.

Who shows us the pathway?
Who brings mercy’s hope?
It’s He who delivers
when we cannot cope.

Lord Sovereign, the world's at your command
     by Your sacrifice;
Oh, Master, help us, to understand
     why You paid the price.

It’s Christ who will answer
when we hope and pray;
His word says He’ll guard us
if we will obey.

Our Savior, all hands raise.
To hope, You bring sight.
Christ Jesus, we praise you
for You are the light.

Lord Sovereign, the world's at your command
     by Your sacrifice;
Oh, Master, help us, to understand
     why You paid the price.

Upheld By His Righteous Right Hand

We're UPHELD by His righteous right hand
our Savior, Lord Sovereign, most worthy of praise.
He provides our rest, blest peace He's planned,
the grieved He comforts with mercy's hope.
We're UPHELD by His righteous right hand.
He keeps His promises, if we will obey;
our God delivers us from Satan's command.
In fear and dismay, He's the way we cope,
thru sickness and needs that we don't understand.
To Jesus, one day all knees will bow, all hands will raise.
We're UPHELD by His righteous right hand.

They Asked Me Who Did It - I Counted On My Right Hand and Blamed Them All

naked and red and relentless rotten macabre mongrels murder my mother’s marriage. cats on cablecast killing civilization with their cryptic chartreuse eyes. sharks stealing shillings by swimming short of their assigned section and summoning their felicitous assassination. trees taking territory from terrestrials trying to tell the traditional tales of terrain and trick the indigenous thorns into thinking they're troublesome. bears don't bear arms so we believe they barely belong with our benign barrels and our good boy bullets.

The Left and the Right Hand

The left hand and the right hand
Know exactly who they are
No body in-between them
Can keep these hands apart

With their favorite activity
Being generally the clap
And when they get tired of that
They rest folded in a lap

Otherwise they're into mischief
As idle hands will do
Twirling thumbs can be fun
But not for these two

When the left decides to rest
And the right hand goes to think
It finds itself a chiseled chin
Then hangs out underneath

Where it comes up with 10 point plans
To help each other out
5 for the left 5 for the right
So neither does lose count

Number 1 mainly on the list
Is to continue to strong arm
And keep up with the body building
Before their body buys the farm

After that they continue with
Their intricate 10 point plan
Which is going quite swimmingly
Between the left and the right hand

N-ew day January eleventh, just raise your right hand.

Almighty's Right Hand

R-ight hand of the Almighty
U-ses the righteousness;
B-iblical wisdom warms
Y-our soul with trueness.

A-lmighty's right hand
B-egins to show the way;
E-rror is far from sight,
J-uly second Sunday.
U-nder God's great power,

A-lmighty's right hand.

Premium Member Old Man Winters Right Hand Man

HE WEARS A COPPER BRACELET,
WRAPPED AROUND HIS WRIST.
HE SPEAKS OF OLD MAN WINTER,
OFTEN WITH A TWIST.
THE BUST OF OLD MAN WINTER,
IS ON THAT COPPER BAND.
BOTH HE AND OLD MAN WINTER,
ARE FROM UNWORLDLY ANCIENT LAND.
SOME SAY HE LIVED A THOUSAND LIVES,
HE IS SAID TO BE IMMORTAL.
LEGEND TELLS US HE WILL COME AND GO,
BY PASSING THROUGH A PORTAL.
HE'LL TELL YOU HE'S OBSERVER,
OF BOTH TIME AND EARTH.
HE REPORTS TO OLD MAN WINTER,
FOR WHAT IT'S REALLY WORTH.
HE SHARES HIS OBSERVATIONS,
THROUGH POETRY ACROSS THE LAND.
A CHALLENGE TO ALL MORTAL BEINGS,
OF WINTERS COLD DEMANDS.

My Right Hand Man

I expect to get mistreated if I try,
But I already know it will only be for a short time,
All this time with me you waged war,
Neverending...back and forth,
If I didn't agree with you, or play along,
Your hurtful words, and comebacks strong,
In a drunken stupor the truth comes out,
All of your fears, all of your doubts,
If you don't want the truth, please don't ask,
Because sober you hide behind the mask,
I shake my head in silence when I hear your lies,
It breaks my heart everytime,
Because you live and breathe for a glorified image,
What's it going to take for you to stop this,
I'm your muse and the butt of your jokes,
But one day you'll look back and realize I loved you the most,
And I'll take your ridicule like a champ,
And at the end of your act I'll still be your friend,
Your not winning when you make me cry,
Because I'm still living for the love inside,
I don't need an image to stand,
The love I have is my right hand man.

My Right Hand

You can cut off my legs
And any other part connected to my body
I love but my right hand
I write totally nothing without
My right hand
I can’t get satisfied
If I don’t use
My right hand
You can do any thing
since you are threatening me
Save for one hand
My right hand
I can still cope to write while eyes closed
I can manage to do many things
With my right hand
Let me not walk
And
Let me not speak
But let me write
For writings lasts always
And
Let my writings be remembered always
I love my right hand

Seated At the Right Hand of the Father

Good
at hiding
it
won't know to look at
handicap
disability
embarrassment, worse than bad breath

must have smacked my head against something
when I was playing good cop, bad cop
and I was the suspect
guilty of something
no doubt

Taken
downtown
for interrogation
on why
we didn't finish everything on the plate

Taken
downtown
to the experts
on why
this sorta thing keeps happening

Taken
down
to a low spot
on the carpet
that better get clean Right Now mister

Taken down
to the Department of Motor Vehicles
where you flunk the eye test
because you've got a
permanent
detached
something or other
which explains a lot

Like why I left,
why I lean left
dress to the left
get left holding the bag
feel left out
but don't see left
because father is always right
father is right handed

Left Hand, Right Hand

I held your hand, You squeezed tightly
When I embraced further.
I held you closer still, You did not resist
When I rested my head on yours.

I realised then, I realised all at once
How much you meant, how much I wanted.
Never been so scared, The thought that time
Of what could have happened.

Yet all that time, All that time
(The person who cared the most...)
In your mind of minds, They were not there-
The person who cared the most...

The things you said, thought, meaningless
To the one who looked out for you.
In your confusion, You pleaded love
In your sobriety, You demand forget.

The Right Hand

Loosing is all in the lessons
Planned by the master teacher
Taking heed to what is foretold
Requires attention
Center fold
Wavering will not gain
The true hold
Running making the difference
Filling belief system
Automatic reactions
Right and left
We are not good
This we know from the spirit
For sure
