Premium Member Bad Breath of Angel Hair

The whiff of angel hair untidy
reeks a reft of detritus
with showers of glitter, confetti
raining down torrential,
on poesy of angel breath petals
amongst the roses, daffodils
and daisy chains
written on a page
cheered on by a sage,
succumbed by
the celebrant's rage
to breath excess
on angel's stage.

Premium Member Harbinger Birds of Spring a Resurrection of Spring Life

With the incoming sounds of spring, a resurrection of life,
the chilliness flees. Quote _ by Poet

Ready for a new season, Spring birds
Shake off winter; embracing
The bonniest warmness weather,
Babies born, and color of nature's crowns.

Scarlet Tanagers chatter, flying round,
Feasting on caterpillar's slowness
And beetles boring away that are found;

whilst

Eternal sunlight reft through sturdy limbs
And myriad leaves of the mighty old oak;
Rapid rhythm clatter drum sounds
Of the Woodpecker on its breast shout.

A hum, a garden faintly woo a smile
At song sung by pretty red feather Robin dancing.

A sweet kiss, a seed, the male Cardinal
Feeds his blush pretty mate favor.

Yonder pond, tree boughs
Teasing the water's edge

Whilst

Little Mallard ducklings
Follow mamma to the bank.

Bluebird builds her nest
Right in the heart of the sprouting
Redbud flowering tree.

Camouflage in the red begonia
An orange breasted Oriole
With its sweet enchanting sound.

On the horizon the fire fades out,
Hush around in high perch, tiny roosting
Cold blue moon comes into sight.

Premium Member Blinkered By Greed

Lots of hands held over a candle
In angst fuelled bravado this Winter
No prisoners taken will there be
For many young and old will splinter

Knowing this sadness could delve deeper
With our horizon blinkered by greed
To boost the coffers of the rich elite
Whilst others struggle with daily feeds

Is there going to be a way out of this
As the inevitable carnage that'll be left
Or will anarchy be the nail in the coffin
It's not nuclear that'll leave its reft.

I Thank You Trump

I thank you trump
Your trumpty dump dump dump
Has taught me to thump sump and
Shown me the runk of the junk of the world.

Your ravings have released cravings
Mavings, havings on all who have stavings
Belavings us into redravings
Leaving all to flap in the torrents

We see you go, flow, mow
Unhitching your ego, fleego, steego meego
Amigo in torrents of pleegos and stum

This is where you left me
Heft me, reft me

Fake News

The News is my woman
I hate her for sough
She lies to the wind dough
and fakes what she'll guff

She's proud of a lege_up
and drowned for a britch
She's bred for a bastard
and brash as a bitzch

She's faulky and nasty
and bled to stitch
She's heddy disgraceful
and reft for a ditch

She's all of the words
I lied for a heart
When all the the times
were fake and apart

Premium Member I Must Be Worth a Little Something

Through life, reft with emptiness
Drifting deepless from pillar to post
Wondering if it'll ever end
To extinguish these reoccuring ghosts

The feeling of awakening each day
Seeing loved ones there then gone
Afraid of the evening ahead
Knowing tomorrow's a different song

With closed eyes I sit in wonderment
In appreciation as to what life brings
Being blessed that I can look back
I must be worth a little something

Welcome back as I hear my past present
Oration I'd thought I'd never hear again
Reacting hopefully patriotic for it never leaves
Longing, such longing, to dismiss the present past
Deliver from today's tomorrow's to no longer grieve

Cumulative human insubordination life rife
Reactionary leaving many innocents reft
Under clear azure skies now abundantly spoiled
I'm forever heart hurt, with this humanity theft
Situation now taken, it's no longer in Earth's hands
Eradicate such turmoil, I'm to sever poisoned lands

He stares into the lighthouse fire
an ant in the hole
Against his throat rests the wire
a life that his beloved stole
When suddenly the sparks' igniter
is pieces of a whole
Far from his ancestral shire
he digests the mole
Betrayal for something shining brighter
he takes time to patch his soul
She stole from him his final lyre
but he will regain control

After all that's transgressed, there's nothing left
No longer will he be drowned in the reft

Premium Member Life's Monsters

being born started it
awakening amidst fire
heat, I prefer cold
homeless, what we had, is gone
broken family moves on

parental split cries
leaves divided broken souls
our goals, torn, unfold
illness kicks in, worrying
two boys, so young amidst such

sprightly playing I
tall grass lies hidden dangers
out stretched hands protect
such pain, excruciating
crimson flow fountains now thrive

monsters, leave us now
two boys, so young amidst such
Monday's we so loved
until we ran, uniforms yea!
I'm small, he runs much faster

boom boom, please slow down
corner turned, I'll catch up
I view him, slam, gone
road reached, I'm scared to turn
now seeing, bloodied trail, tears

Paraplegic, he
we move on, carry on, strong
sadly, Billy's gone
three become two, are we through
our tomorrows we await

Quietness abounds
two reft, illness takes, one left
State spared, no one cared
his last abused, now confused
life's thrall thrown, never grown, blown!

I Am the Sky

I am the sky
Orator of my skeleton rain
Magnet to the meadows
Blowing your smiles perfume
From autumn edge to spring wings
Hearing your frown thunder down
A palpable twinkling thought
Of revolutionary present sound
Azure gown of twilit flames
Weeping over thistledowns sneeze
I rain for me! Bereaved
Into parting streams clung to the seas
Which blew your wispy kiss of death
Upon the wobbly leaves, reft of Pan
Viscosity of departed love
Chokes the hand of sands breath

Premium Member Old Rose

Doth if not thrill thee, Poet,
Dead and dust through thy art,
To feel how I press thy singing
Close to my heart?

You tell of a forlorn maiden
So much out of time,
Diminish stance, witless mind
Reft, with thy Rhyme.

Alas, it is so simple to dictate
With prerogative quill of pose,
Upon life’s inflexibilities
Cast upon a wretched ‘Old Rose’

Premium Member Delicate Flame of Desire

My heart of stone, your love has broken
For many years it has been spent and set
It beats again with a voice now spoken
For it desires the day, to you I jet

My time stands still, never again
This chance anew to relive my life
No longer cast in discarded reft
In saddened state, shredded strife

After the rain, my life's like the sun
Ray after day like the beats in my heart
My love, my love, I'm one breath away
Soon to be with you, my future's to start

Never to look back at her strange behaviour
I'm out of reach we are no longer in rhyme
Your Spanish eyes have captured my heart
Years of despair now's the right time

I view my love, through my eyes I do see
My delicate flame of desire, awaiting I
Her radiant smile at the airport, we greet
Behind me ashen greys, above now blue sky

sodden, trodden, left so reft
darkening shadows
amidst dim streetlights, now angst
what was before, is now never
