                 ~ Life Is a Kaleidoscope ~
                           5/25/2026

Life is a game, so, which role do you choose to play?
In lifes’s cacophony of human hearts on display?
What is your role in this drama of millions of metrical, truth-sayers?

I ask myself this, whenver a poem, in moonlight mist, I conjure up to post.
Not expecting a comment from anyone, or to be lauded,
at a literati roast!

I’d much prefer to write poet songs, home alone about
the glory, or angst of relationships.
These are the songs, that dreams are made of, in the moonglowing-sapphiric experience.

Forever dreaming of soft, magical, deep verbiage and longing to hear love’s tender, calls.
The ecstasy, the dreaming, of kissing his expectant
lips, beneath rainbow-misted,of lit gentle, waterfalls.

Do we shape the poem,verily,or..does the magic of a
poem shape us?
Are we here to impress, or dare we try to really connect with another’s spititus?

Hate is on the screen and page, satan is seething in righteous inversion at this
This stage; of our age.' In paroxyms with contortiions Another abomination he parades, will you bow down to the
Statu-te? By now no doubt its been printed and lauded in
'The Age?' Who devoid of empathy.' Could have envisaged
This sad day? my heart is crying, my mind reels; and my eyes are sore, at this 'evil in disguise' this is an attack on human expression' on the right to err, and learn' it will take
Lattitude from our children.' By this no respect is ever to be earned, may its instigators face correction at the very hand of
Fate! for they are supping from a cauldron with the content
Denial and denigrate' where will children find the
Lattitude? Where can love dialate? Not in this airless tomb
I offer.' Its the lowest of dis-service to the state.' For the truth
There now is perjury.? And free expression made a lie.' Art
Is dead for the soul has fled ' this is not the way to true freedom.' It is just more gilded lies.!

there was a politician named Rod
who for his truth telling wanted to be lauded
but everyone knew better
that he was just another vote getter
because politicians and truth together are quite odd

Premium Member In An Instant

Sometimes my heart breaks
With music that was never played
Epiphanies swell and create
A still that I could never have foreseen,
A wonderful that is beyond soul’s grief
A tenderness that feeds the moment gentleness
A silent truth that arrives with autumn tones
A moment in time, fading, so lauded
Erasing the distant past, sharing time
That will forever last…

Breaking through the morning blue
With a touch of all the fresh and new
Dreams beseeching grace that is so steady
Risking the dance to awaken the pure
Rising in the heart, a kindness, a breath
Like the wind, she gasps and sails through the air
Remembering the sounds of everlasting expressions
Song in the air, a music so accepting
Melodies of light, softly playing on the night
Forbidding the heart to leave, forgetting the heart can easily deceive….

Premium Member A Paper Tiger

        His two objectives unmet
Bibi approves the ‘deal’ he gets
from Trump, in an unconscionable rush
to bully Israel into a peace made of mush

For 15 months Bibi touted 'non-negotiable' goals
All hostages returned, and Hamas crushed
This ‘deal’ achieves neither, though lauded in the West
To Trump, Bibi caved, a paper tiger when pressed

Past time for Israel to assert itself on the world stage
Show itself and the world that it’s come of age
Vote Bibi out, along with his feckless friends
Elect someone brave, who neither breaks nor bends

AI GUY

Though I write from my app, not my impassioned soul
I'm praised and lauded as I play a poet's role
Don't tell me I lie
I'm just an AI Guy
Subterfuge is my game and a trophy my goal!

Premium Member At the end will be all of me

Made of romance, you'll feel it when you read my soliloquy
Never lost even when my timing is not lauded in tranquility
I wish at times I lacked this self-made case of anonymity
A wish, a want, a will to make the best of each opportunity
You dance around in my head, owning deed to this facility
If I can't be near you, I'd rather be in hell repeatedly thinking of only you; for all of eternity
That's all you get to go on, dream a dream of our life story, waiting at the end will be all of me.

Premium Member Nobody

I am Nobody:
no name on my grave
in the Veterans’ Cemetery --

not even certain if all parts
match – those bombs really
had no personal objective when
targeting and dispatched –

Their bull’s eyes~ all Enemy.

I am Nobody; don’t earn
a lot, after your release from
the hospital, once healed,
you never met the EMT
who feverishly pumped life
into your failing lungs, during your
rushed, siren screaming journey
through unyielding traffic --

probably never thanked the nurse
in the ER, with a name-tag,
often gone unread – Oh, you met
the doctor, who earns all the big
bread – He has a noble title – he
has lauded fame – unlike Nobodies
more or less, diminutive
the same – just Nobody --

the Nobodies who build the bridges

repair the roads
pickup the garbage

often given little more mention
than prince-less pond toads –

when I croak, Just a slimy
soak – in society, most Nobodies
die broke – soggy, irrelevant
pond splashes –

Only rich when considering love...

Premium Member Love Lauded in Song

Clearly a misguided romance can cause great grieve,
but chances that’s forgone chafes, cheating
us out of the possibility of our chivalry
in an hour of need.

Youthful, yet ambitious, yearning triumphs.
At least we have the long, lingering kisses
to sustain us, fussing over nothing.

Making a wish on aurorae
(nearly as awesome as you),
is an awful waste of our precious time together
in the autumnal period of our lives.

When all is said and done,
when the world winds down
and soft sound persists,
love of you is
lauded in
song.

Premium Member Pearl of the Orient

Donning splendiferous landscapes stretching for miles,
A culture that aptly prides, in bold, welcoming smiles;
A thriving land of islands~ an archipelago evincing awe,
A resplendence of nature, an exclamation of hurrah.

Sandy beaches embrace realms of pristine coastline,
Harboring lush foliage, embodying sublimity divine,
Of marine life, corals, reveling warmth of idyllic clime,
Reminiscent of paradise, of placidity, stilled in time.

Fun loving, amiable, proud tradition extolling grace,
Quaint, yet modern, is the vibrant vibe of this place;
Of museums, antiques, art galleries, buzzing cafe,
Of hotels, casinos, of famed sunsets on Manila Bay.

Luzon, the Visayas, Mindanao~ gems of the blue sea,
Living in tranquility, projecting utter beauty and glee;
Islands of hospitality, homeland of a privileged few,
A magnificent portrait, upon sea-canvas nature drew.

Philippines~ an acclaimed, lauded, pearl of the Orient,
Rich in diverse culture, her allure citizens augment,
Pulsating rhythms of hearts and souls, worthy of praise;
A treasure preserved, revered since the ancient days.

Perspicacity

Kill one man
and you go
to the gallows
Kill one hundred
and you’re lauded
a hero
Intention like rain
falls on
mountain and plain
The one
flowing downward
—the other to drain

Forget-me-not thy scent hast taste of time,
who tolls naught for thee, attend harken chime.
Courtesies yond the proverbial realm.
acquired vesper's affections, overwhelm.
Cupid cedes ecliptic earth's lauded star,
Purple Vanda Orchids in gild's wake are
hauling affianced light 'neath golden rays,
velvety mosaic succeeding phase.
Proxy promises bonny lavenders
induce flex a princess's verbs. Challengers
spealing gingerly the princely petals,
submit an amethyst crown ... all's settles.
A stately champ, amaranthine Vandas,
the garlands of Purple Heart's--lifespan 'twas.

Premium Member Renewal Or Folly

Vain mankind, you measure and image objectives
You build, and tear down, errect and level the fomer,
Lauded structures, become despised, as you search
For validation ' as you sense the cold expanse of
Eternity, and its structure ' always expanding it has no
Base known to humanity.' Man cannot fathom or weigh
Its complexlity, its simple existence mesmerises us
As we struggle with basic human needs.' As we value
That which we posses. Yet will never own.' As so many
Elevate themselves to claim kingship, to promote war
And to control, they are lost in their aging..in the shell
Of decompisition, they place their trust, plot courses
And yet know they must depart.' For God is tearing them
Apart, dissasembling, to cast away the dross, to reshape
The clay.' Man rages in vain against his creator; he copies
And yet curses, denigrates others to obtain more yet
Will never own more..More than a chance! a one time
Opportunity to recieve enlightenment, through Jesus
Christ, the gift of God, the Holy Spirit wafts and waves
Over us morning and night.' Awake to salvation embrace
The light.'

Premium Member Radiance of Sunset

It was time for day to bid adieu to the setting sun,
when tangerine hues blend with those of pale pink.
Not to miss the titian glow, I was afraid to blink,
now that the ebbing of twilight had finally begun.

Slowly, it descended below the horizon's edge,
a sanguine orb drowning in a cobalt blue sea.
Sunset is such an enchanting pleasure for me,
as sunlight disappears behind the cliff's ledge.

During the begetting of night, my mind was at play
with thoughts of writing of a moment I won’t forget
and of the crowning halo of light of the sun's coronet.
The one it offers to the moon at the end of each day.

Cascades of pastel colors stretched across the skies.
My shadow grew longer as the sun bid me 'farewell.'
I watched a last flicker of light dip in an ocean swell.
A radiant canvas loomed before my awestruck eyes.

The grand finale' of this prismatic pageantry, I lauded,
as this lustrous sunset slowly slipped away from me,
waved goodbye and sank into the depths of the sea.
Another sunset made its exit. I stood and applauded.

Honor

What is honor? Is it lordship?
Is is gained by ruling lands?
Is it for the wise and rich
For kings, with scepters in their hands?

What is honor? Is it glory?
Is it fame and majesty?
Does it mean that you are lauded
Lifted high for all to see?

What is honor? Is it greatness?
Is it found in bravery?
Is it found in feats of heroes
Those who fight or save or free?

What is honor? Is it goodness?
Is it great integrity?
Is it fighting sin’s enticement?
Is it found in purity?

What is honor? You will fail
To gain true honor on your own
True honor comes from Yehovah
While humbly kneeling ‘fore His throne

What is honor?–being chosen
By the One Who raised the dead
To have His might, and fight His wars
He honors me and lifts my head
