Premium Member Walking on Water

            Walk on Water

I was a tear drop in your ocean
I was a ship wreck in your sea
And now you won't even…. talk to me
 Now you're walking on water
just to walk away from me.

I'm holding a picture of you
 and its slowly fading ….A…way,
I warned you about Katie and Pete
 kissing yeah kissing!
 Right In front of me!
 So, you killed the messenger

 And the mess..en..ger was me.
 Now you're walking on water
just to walk away from me.
I was a tear drop in your ocean
Another shipwreck drowning in your sea.
I’m holding a picture of you its slowly fading from me.

 I'm sitting here just dying
 Dying all alone.
I'm painting a picture of you but
I can't remember the color of your eyes.
Are they green, hazel or blue.

So, in December I'm going for
A long walk in the mountain snow
And I'm never coming back to you.
I was a tear drop in your ocean
 A shipwreck in the sea.
So you're still walking on water to walk away from me

Real Men Don't Cheat on Their Women

God simply made man and woman
to be together for the rest of their lives,
it's a blessing this heedless world
has not fully known;
and it's so rare nowadays
to see two people in love
and promise each other to be faithful:
is this all impossible?

No, real men, don't cheat on their women,
no, real men give their whole hearts full of gold
to those who really live them;
I've come to know a good man
who did just that for his woman,
and he still loves ger although is old!

Unfaithful men: would you rather have
an unhappy home or feel a joy
as sublime as the sunrise in glory?
Untrustworthy men, give up what you crave;
you can be the strongest man on Earth
and still can't stop the tears that gather inside!

No, real men don't cheat on their women,
no, real men adore and cherish then 'till they're gone :
to be beside them and share a lovely dream,
to console and encourage them when they'll get weak!

Rivers of Pain

Shivers of pain trigger my pen
         To write and write
Till I forget this yen
         To cry aloud

Slivers of pain snig ger at me
         To fight and fight
Till I forget to see
         The dark grey cloud

Rivers of pain slicker than rain
        They smite and smite
Till I see red in my brain
        No tears allowed

Quivers of pain flicker through me
        They bite and bite
Till I see black in the sea
        In anguish bowed

Slow down cowboy and reload she mocked
and next time try not to go off half-cocked.
Then she said with a snig-ger
you’re too fast on the trigger
but who fu-ckin cares, my world was rocked!

White Out!
'Tis Parashas Yisro,
Consummate Ger,
Outside snow,
Inside aware,
Of everything's glow,
He, I "Gerim" (Converts) & today's weather dare,
To Overturn the "Status Quo",
Questioning bares each layer!
Yisro's denial of Pharoah,
My hesitant beliefs came bare,
Nature's kneed of ghost dough,
Share they all Rare...
Becomings, "Being in the Now",
Breathing fresh air,
Showering snows endow,
Smiles and feelings fair,
A greeting of "Ciao!"
Yisro saw & heard with care,
Refusing to blindly march in tow,
Brave to square,
Brazen Hot Air blow,
 Yearning to repair,
A Human soul cry of "Oh No!"

On the Other Hand

i was born
right handed
and so am now
right at this moment
writing your poetry and

trying to express
myself as best as i
can without needing to
fill a demand and certainly
not giving a flying f or a dam

but as i feel
the free flow
of what water
i've become i
realize i don't

know what
my other
hand is
doing
and

so when finding
out it's driving
a personal
private
stick

shift with
a young
Colombian
in the passen
ger seat grrrr

i simply
just keep
writing in
peace and
comfort

Premium Member A Ger's Aware Stares

A Ger's Aware Stares
See the flicker flame duo dance,
Shabbos & Yom Tov mesmerance,
My eyes are stymied: Chosen to share life?
Apex companion she, gold circled wife,
Sighting elusive meaning, Torah wrestling,
Sage insights bring awe, humble reflective nestling,
Hebrew tears for mankind demand scoping,
Pleading prayers are such, not be vain our hoping,
The Divine is listening with eyes, fully attending,
Long vigils are not only ours, He waits, mending,
Sideways peripheral glances are all we are granted,
Due to Ego illusions, winds make upright slanted,
This Ger beholds that even tho' all seems inverted,
I'm grateful to be alive, married, and converted!

Ma Settled For Whiskey Sour

 That's right little ole lady
it's here once again
your birthday is back
so let your aches
settle in

What to get you,
something old or new
you kissed my cheek
and said,
your love will do

But to get a gift
is not just for you
when the one
watching you open it
gets excited to

So i went for a walk
and i wandered about
i kicked this old liquor
bottle and a genie
came out

As shocked, startled
and as scared as
 i was this gift would
be perfect for the
woman i love

So i scooped
 the genie and the
three wishes up
i ran all the way home
while shaking him up

Sitting the bottle
on the kitchen counter
i unscrewed the cap
and never smelt
anything fouler

The bottle fell over
and the genie rolled out
he got back to his feet
when he then passed
out

All i could do
was laugh at the genie
now pittiful and drunk
just needing some
sleepy

So now at this point
there is nothing
 i can do
so i went to moma
and said, "pick a hand
One or Two"

The drunken genie man
was the hand she picked
so i handed her the hand
with the half full bottle
and told ger to
wash him down quick
with this foul smelling
whiskey sour

My Creative Poet Mind

Resting noon today, I scribbling softly
Late day I pause, poetizing, just be
Infant night, squirm upon me, gin·ger·ly
Orb of night glow, stars shimmer, glittery

Through glazing mid of night, luster afar
Thus I pen: ''Twinkle Dinkle Dharma Star"
On the afternoon, of tomorrow sleep
I will awaken, and take a pause deep

In the night ending, wait for peace from day
Wee-wee hour, submerging, thought in my pray
Now, my creative poet's mind, flowing clear
Bright as light, in the sky, so very dear

Vast and Lonely Spaces

Into those vast spaces, where my mind does roam,
I gaze and find dark e m p t i n e s s all around,
Lin ger ing, looking for someone to hold me,
I cru m b l e to p - i - e - c - e - s beneath these false smiles...

Inside those vast spaces, where my heart does hang,
I gasp and find damp h o l l o w n e s s choking me,
Torn by l o n e l i n e s s, croaking cries in silence,
I fumble in fragile f r a g m e n t s masked in mirth...

Within these vast spaces, where people do live,
Does anyone have such OPEN MINDEDNESS
To accept me with my mood swings, muse and f-l-a-w-s?
I hope there is, but God knows, I'm still w a i t i n g . . . . . .

My Poet Mind

O' resting on the noon of today, I whisper softly
At late day, I pause from reflection and just be
A newborn dusk writhe upon me gin·ger·ly
Orb of night glow -- the stars sparkle glittery
Through the glazing night luster afar
Thus I pen: Tinkle Dinkle Little Star"

On the afternoon of tomorrow sleep
O' I will awake, and take a breath deep
Evening ends, relax, and wait for peace from the day
At midnight hour, I will be submerging thought in my pray
O' thou now enlighten my poet's mind, flowing clear
Bright as light, in the sky so very dear

Cockroach Concert

All thanks to William Wordsworth, one of our greats

I wandered in my kitchen round
floating high on cocaine broaches
all at once guess what I found
a nest of golden cockroaches
inside the stove, beside the fridge
singing and dancing on every ridge

Continuous gold in costumes fine
eyes a-twinkling; looks of gay
parades in never-ending lines
the bug-stards out in full array
ten thousand I would estimate
with spindly legs on roller skates

They weaved and waved in glorious tune
to Bug Stars' hit "We're wild and free"
well good to make a poet swoon
to hear such perfect harmony
I gazed in wonder at this troupe
outdoing any pro rock group

Skilled crooners crooned while chorus girls
in-sync tap-tapped and showed slim knee
with hoops and loops and swirls and twirls
each pitch they met with practiced ease
involuntarily I swayed
blew air kisses in accolade

Now oft in bed when sleep eludes
in vacant and depressive mode
their scrabble on my mind intrudes
as on my food their sh-t they load
and then my heart with rue is stocked
cocaine's a bug-ger!! I'll smoke my socks!!
