Premium Member Sweet and Sappy

Sweet and sappy, as strawberries,
yet the green leaf’s pulled
from the tongue, and
teaches one a smile set
in the bulk and brazen
of the hefty sour’n sweet
fruitiness obtained from the C
of the blazing sun’s goodness.

Plentiful teeny-tiny seeds
present in the plush red-ripe chill
to the gums, and
pearly-wide teeth
that plunge, as if into the neck
of Dracula’s victim.

Juice sucked off fingers.
The index circles the lips
to enhance the stickiness
and satisfaction
of the plucky fragaria,
full-sized, squeezing
the frame. Dimensions

hypnotize the dreamer
destined for the horizon.
Scented lip gloss,
a lasso for a boyfriend.
The milkshake mesmerizes
the swirly straw in the parlor.

Memories made shepherding
the wild strawberry fields -
hair, cheeks, lips, polish.

Divinity

Nature of the heart and the mind of the supreme,
His essence, the nucleus, the imminent cream;
Angelic, pure, immaculate, and undefiled,
Naturally supernatural soul compiled...!

Like the flowerness of a flower, this enshrines,
Like the fruitiness of fruit within forms designs;
The Waterliness of water is its pure core,
Unseen other fore of the ocean is its shore...!

Brhman, Atman, Antaryami immenant, perfect,
Prudence, patience, temperance, and diligence decked;
Saintliness, blessedness, piousness, holiness,
All incorporated its marvelous fullness...!

In the fragments of the father son and spirit,
Its dignity possesses the highest merit;
Creating creatures in its own very image,
This dwells within each being like an unseen sage...!

Premium Member Gerber With a Kick

Pumping Vitamin A, into my blood,
and potassium. Pretty pumpkin
mixed with berries, yogurt and silk.
Sipping the Autumn cocktail preposterously.
Potential for vigor, chilling, and best day.
Orange concoction of maturity,
or it could be called Gerber with a kick.
My baby sister would be appalled
as she often is at my fruitiness.
She almost lost her grip, when instead
of chips and dip, I craved tropical fruit,
when i was sick. Jack O is a flame -
just dessert. Orange pancakes in my future,
unless my sister locks me up.

Bohemian Threnody

Back then we could eat clouds -
we were that tall, even baggy Ben (who
was small for a lumpy kid),
could leap over a pub door
without leaving the floor.

Then behind our backs
a Lilliputian world crept up,
it was mouse-grey, and it nibbled ferociously.

I went to the South Coast to roustabout;
then the lot of them
chose to join the heavy brigade;
they got real jobs
not the casual hourly sideshow work
bohemians favored.
After spinning my head for a shilling I returned,
but by then the whole decade had dispersed
like moths in a rainstorm.

I renewed an acquaintance or two
with former females,
those who had been set aside
on shelves for later.

There was no longer any power in flowers
drum circles lost their nativist beat.
Of course we all sold out,
I was just a late bloomer.

Now in my mature and preserved fruitiness
I spurn the hallucinogenic
and am as pious as any defrocked magpie
that drips memories by moonlight,
grudgingly bemoaning the sag
of this slow jowly age.

WASH DAY

O bother, I’ve knocked over my juice cup!
Mother taught me you reap what you sow.
And so I must clean up this splendid mess.
How to absolve this fruitiness? Of course! I’ve got it!
I’ll use my brother’s shorts as a mop.
Why stop there when I can wash his shirts too.
Won’t mother be proud of all I can do!

Have You

Have you seen galloping horses
Thundering across the grassy plains?
A rush of wind breaking free.

Have you heard scrabbling tutles
Scratching hopelessly at their tanks?
A ghost’s desperate moan.

Have you stroked a baby bunny,
Felt its delicate fur on its bones?
A fluffy cushion inlaid with glass.

Have you sucked some gummy bears,
Juicy fruitiness bursting in your mouth?
The soundless murder of innocent victims.
