Day Dreams

I love to have daydreams,
about the nighttime.
I believe I can see it all
clearer in the light.
I am not afraid of the monsters...
in the closet, made of laundry
and fallen clothes,
from hangars that have broken,
creating giant fangs,
in the faces
leftover in my mind,
very unkind.

There is nothing under the bed,
but my shoes and a few socks.
I wondered where that went,
and that... and that... and that???
But no, no creature here,
to feature highly on the page
of the press,
the news,
I refuse to give in,
to bend,
against the evil...
that is just there to scare,
how dare the shadows
it's just not fair.

Try again somewhere else,
you have been driven out.
There is no place here, to fear,
the unknown.
Angels all around,
in the air and on the ground.
They are everywhere they are needed.
My warning had better be heeded.

Day Dreams

The wife saw it all in a dream
The milkman delivered fresh cream
The postman came first
(She thought he would burst)
The newsboy fit her colour scheme

Rainy Day Dreams

How sweet’s the lovely scent and sound of rain
As I look out amidst the sultry storm
From bursting clouds upon the window pane,
I feel the chills on my svelte body's form.
The thrill of thunder claps and lightning too,
When shivers crawl and creep along my spine,
I'm warm inside with true love's dreams of you.
My dreams of kissing you are so divine.
Yet you know not my secret thoughts there-of.
Perhaps in spring one golden day you'll see
How deeply my heart longs to know your love;
Of yearning hidden hopes encased in me.
*The storms are raging on the rollin' sea,
And on the highway of regret* they be.

All Day long, day dreams heart to heart
Just like that, silky is your touch to me
You are tender kisses baby
I can barely handle your easy caresses
I must confess your the best

DAY long day dreams
A DREAM cradled finesse a love fest
Now, I'm drowning into you
You've been my definition of love for decades
DAY DREAM I imagine your tenderness

I'm kissing your lips a strawberry lollipop.
Every day dream is of you
Your breath is even beautiful
And the air is sweet between us
My heart grows complicit, it reaches out to you

It's no use days and days from sunrise till sunrise
I want to see you again and again just
To remember how your eyes gleam when
You surrender i want you to know the feeling is
Mutual, things seem dim skies grow a dusty blue

There's only you and me in this union
Daydreams all day long
The sun smiles again

Poetry Day #1: Acrostic
Rainy Day Dreams

Rat-a-tat-tat, the rain pours down again,
All of the land is soaked with the heaven’s tears.
Inducing sadness, yes, but bringing life,
Now that the world can be refreshed once more.
Yet, why must I feel like this rain is drowning me?

Dreaming about the sun, the wind, even the clouds,
Anything that will take away this sorrowful feelings.
Yet the rain still continues to fall down.

Day breaks once more, and I continue to watch the sky.
Red, yellow, orange, pink, and the white clouds float.
Endings are bittersweet, aren’t they?
Although sadness will always be in my heart,
My smile will rise above the pouring rain like the sun,
So I’ll continue to dream until the rain stops once more.

Day Dreams

All alone she sits
in the afternoon sun
day dreams fill her mind
of all that shes done

A life so fulfilled
every wish has come true
what more can she want
what more can she do

In her day dreams
she's the girl with it all
wishing it were reality
its a wish that's so tall

Day Dreams

i awoke this morning
to the sun
licking dry any dew
that remained from the night,
or from dreams
that flickered like lost stars
in my deepest thoughts.

i never surrendered my mind
to this water-colored day
that sat on a half-painted canvas
awaiting for me to dust off the night's glow
from my own smiling face.

who said dreams are made for night?

nights seems too short
to trade in for one day,
one day to dream, broken thoughts
as they weave in and out of my mind,
much like the sun did with the clouds,
but i too drifted, winded across the horizons
and generated almost as much heat
as the day itself.

night had come again
and i watched as the sky exploded
into an array of colors around me,
wrapping me deeper in my own thoughts
as i dreamt of you once more.

Day Dreams

The smell of the freshly cleaned ( stage floor)
The crowd bursting out to cheer in a roar
The beads of water trickling down my forehead
Each step towards the stage as I head
The spotlight was on me; seemed like a 1000 volts
I was waiting for this second my entire life, I thought my heartbeat was at hold
The playback music started with a rock tone,
A chill went down in my backbone
I started to sing as calmly as I could
C’mon ! I was in front of 1000 people , mention I should.
I looked at the faces of my dear ones.
In their eyes I could see the proudness telling me “ you’re doing great , hon”
I looked at the faces of my dear patient audience
It was getting pretty intense; you know the ambience,
The song ended with a lovely note
“Did they like it “? – Was the only question of doubt,
The crowd busted out again to cheer in a roar.
Cheering loudly and saying – “Once more ! ”

illusive ephemeral
transient,short-lived
just in this moment
from memory's sieve

recited or written,
rhythmic or rhyme
to fill a line,
with cadence,divine

fly away image,fly
as swallows in the sky,
to drift, 'til espied
in another's mind's eye

then rest ,and remain
in a different domain,
to inspire or prompt;
yet n'more the same

I laid upon the grass one day
And dreamed of places far away
Of palace gates and carpet rides
Of dragon scales and moonbeam slides

Where butterflies were spun of gold
And Unicorns with fairies told
The tales of selkies and magic wands
Where rainbows dipped to drink from ponds

I rode the clouds amongst the trees
Catching rides on wings of bee's
I danced a jig in clovers four
With elves and sprites from times of yore

I followed bunnies to their dens
Chased fireflies to earth again
To proudly stand on hollow ground
Where knights in armor once abound

Then back to sky I flew on leaves
That carried songs upon my sleeves
Back to the field where I reposed
To end my dream as daylight closed

I was standing as in a dream
...wondering was life all it seemed

I was rambling along a road
...lost in thought, was life a code

I was staring through my window
...seeing the world come and go

I was floating in the spring sunshine
...were these surreal moments mine

I was dozing in the cooling shade
...poetic thoughts appear then fade

I was composing as in a dream
..this ode came floating down the stream

Day Dreams

Dreams during daytime
will never withhold,
glorious glitter of girded gold,
and shadows like sounds of a sunny sky,
moving the mornig through meandering rye,
and sunrays sowing seeds of a summerly sign.
