He shall be a bee
Hovering round all of me.
A field of flowers
Petals flying all around,
As he collects my nectar.

For the Bubble-Blowing Honey-Bee…•
A Bumble bee was bumbling
Buzzing around the bramble bush
Beautiful buttercups were blooming
Their nectar waiting to sip
Bumble bee bumped into a flower
He took a sip and lost his power
Felt silly good so thought he would shower
Into the flower took a dip

pretty flowers
sweet nectar flowers
buzzing, drinking, sipping
honeycombs busy making
hopping from one color to the
next takes a lot of flowers and a
lot of bees to make the sweet sweet honey.
There was a lovely child named Elle Lee
whose very best friend was a bumblebee.
They met one day in a field of clover
Bumble Bee buzzed and flew right over.
He was surprised to see Elle Lee's wings.
She said, "Faeries have wonderful things."
But Elle Lee didn't like her curly red hair
and covered it up so no one would stare.
Bumble Bee said, "Your curls are divine.
the same color as strawberries on a vine."
She took off her scarf and set her curls free
Shouting happily, "WHOOPEE! WHOOPEE!"

I saw a
yellow
bumblebee
it buzzed along
so happily.
It settled upon
a fiery rose
as if to strike
a picture pose.
It rest awhile
then buzzed away
so I content
went on my way.
(click the pic for a preview of my upcoming book!)
Her calm fettered visage reveals nothing
She is as stoic as any sentry
I imagine she is secretly hypervigilant
However, she is unyielding
A plethora of pernicious bats
Might have trouble dampening this queen.
She probably enjoyed stinging the others to death
I watch her traverse the honey comb highway
In an ethereal, astral state, I watch her movements.
She is larger than I thought which increases my fear
Each heart felt buzz a bit louder as she closes in.
I am the last potential queen to be eliminated.
I licked up a bumble bee
think he thought I was Pee Wee
so he bit my knee
did it all for free
on the count of one two three

Y You forgot to tell the Bumblebees: watch them fly, fly, fly!
Buzzing around with your trademark sound

Beautiful announcement of summer they bring
Environmentalists your praise they sing
Energetic little friend let us not see your end
It always seems so strange to me,
the wing size of the bumble bee.
A body of such massive size,
should not have wings that compromise.
To fly for hours from flower to flower,
depends upon its flying power.
So, it’s baffling how wings so small
can carry it around at all!
An airplane has wings so large,
longer still than any barge,
that the bumble bee’s wingspan should be,
at least six inches across you see.
This insect simply flies around,
without ever falling to the ground.
On paper it simply should not fly,
but no one has ever explained why?
And thus, it flies oblivious,
it cannot understand the fuss.
The miracle it flies, despite,
means whatever you strive, you might!
Why can’t I sting like the rest of them?
Fly high in the air with the best of them?
Why am I so small and chubby?
Hairy all over, and my wings terribly stubby?
I wish I was a different kind of bee,
I tried aiming for the hive one day, and flew right into a tree.
I gave my best effort at buzzing around….
I must’ve annoyed the keeper to the fullest,
Cause he slapped me to the ground.
My friends all used to tease me,
They called me “fuzzy wuzzy.”
They’d all fly around me laughing,
And yell out “buzzy buzzy!!”
I hated that!
When I flew in the air, I’d always stumble….
Couldn’t keep pollen in my grasp, because I would always fumble.
As time grew by, I became more and more fussy.
I felt my life sucked….
I couldn’t fly high….
I didn’t buzz very loud,
And I was always told “shoo! Shoo!” when I flew through a crowd.
So until that day comes, and I can smile with glee,
I guess I will remain what I am right now….
One fussy bumble bee.
Flying from flower to flower….
With a small bit of power.
Still going straight into that big tree…
I’m one fussy bumble bee….
